Because Angela and Michael are on 90 Day Fiance Season 7, fans have wondered if this means that they're finally coming to the United States.
A new teaser poses that very question as Michael prepares for his visa interview. But what do spoilers have to say?
On Sunday, TLC unveiled a new teaser for 90 Day Fiance.
In the teaser, we see Michael Ilesanmi speaking very confidently of his upcoming visa interview.
Communicating with him via video chat, Angela is feeling much, much less optimistic about his chances of getting approved.
Who's expectations are right?
"Michael, what’s going on with the interview?” Angela can be seen asking in the clip.
She asks about necessary documentation, saying: “Did you go get everything we needed?"
"Everything’s ready,” Michael promises reassuringly. “We will be fine. There will be no problem."
"You’re not nervous about the questions?" Angela asks, seemingly in disbelief.
Michael admits that he is nervous, but affirms that he must remain strong and confident.
"Michael, let me tell you something I’m worried about," Angela confesses.
She warns him: "If you’re putting on a damn show, they gonna know it, and you’re going to be denied."
"Don’t worry,” Michael assures her. “I got this. I am getting it, OK?"
"This interview is the last step to get the K-1 visa approved. It’s a 'yes' or a 'no' to come to the States," Angela tells the camera.
She details: "He has to bring all kinds of documents, proof of our relationship, and they’re going to ask some questions about me and my family."
"So if he doesn’t take this seriously, the government officials will not take it seriously, and his ass will be denied," Angela expresses.
Well, that's one way of putting it.
Will Michael's hopes be realized? Or will Angela's anxieties prove to be justified?
The teaser doesn't reveal it, but a production source tells Starcasm that Michael's K-1 visa application is denied.
Now, Starcasm notes that they have been unable to confirm this elsewhere.
But they are not the only 90 Day Fiance source reporting this grim news.
90 Day Fiance instagrammer Frauded By TLC reported similar news.
"I have not been able to verify this yet," the account shares. "But I have heard from multiple sources his visa is denied."
Notably, a commenter claimed ot have heard the opposite, and that Michael was approved.
It's always possible. Some reality shows are known to slip misinformation to sources in order to surprise audiences.
If Michael was approved and is now living in the US with Angela, they have done an exceptionally good job of hiding it.
Usually, when this happens (as with Karine and Paul), someone will spot them out shopping together.
But so far, there have been no photos or anecdotes about the two living together in America.
Our guess? We wouldn't place any high-stakes bets that Michael was approved. But then, we're fairly risk-averse.
Word has it that Angela and Michael were added to Season 7 at the last minute after producers realized that this season lacked a certain spark.
Don'tt get us wrong, fans have all sorts of opinions about this season, but there's no Larissa. There's no Mohamed and Danielle.
So they may have been rushed into doing the K-1 visa interview before they had everything together.
Alternatively, as we have previously explained, white nationalists are setting US immigration policy and Michael may have almost no chance.
