On 90 Day: The Single Life Season 3, Episode 5, boundaries were a hot topic.
Veronica had just set boundaries with Tim, but something else stood in the way of her steamy getaway with Justin.
Then, Caesar’s date was uneventful, but viewers got to watch a peaceful night out in pre-war Kyiv.
Debbie misses Tony, but she has to focus on finding a new place to live. But those two storylines may converge.
Natalie misses Josh despite the way that things ended. She wants to see him again … and, oddly, he wants to see her.
Tania’s desire to find a partner instead of just enjoy herself means viewing her current man in Aruba more cautiously.
And Tiffany’s return to the world of dating leads her to an old flame’s hotel room. Good for her!
Veronica Rodriguez
Anticipating her getaway with Justin, Veronica got waxed. She and Justin opted for a getaway to Asheville. That makes sense as, to the chagrin of its residents, Asheville was once again voted one of the best places in the world to vacation in autumn. Veronica also characterizes it as a “short drive” from Charlotte. Even though NC has one of the best highway systems in the country, that is a two hour drive. You have to really like somebody to spend that long together in a car on purpose, especially if you’re driving through Shelby. But Veronica and Justin are clearly crazy about each other.
Justin arrives
Notably, he offers Veronica a hug but not a kiss. He does, however, express excitement to see her without the possibility of Tim intruding. Veronica explains to him that Tim is, if anything, overcompensating in terms of stepping back from her life. They’re both looking forward to this time together.
But why didn’t he kiss her?
The cold sore virus is relatively harmless in most people, but it lies dormant within the body. Justin explains that he gets outbreaks just two or three times a year, which is fairly typical. Unfortunately, he is contagious during outbreaks. Mouth contact with her lips or genitals are, they decide, off the table for the weekend. Though these infections are fairly common in the general population (about 1/3 or more of the population), no one would want to intentionally spread it, so it may change aspects of their plans for the evening.
WOW!
Veronica unveils her lingerie, telling Justin that she had a robe to go with it. He is not complaining about its absence. No one is. Veronica has always been a knockout, but now she gets to show that off.
They do have to lay out some ground rules
No kissing of lips — of any kind, they decide — will put a damper on many of their plans for this getaway. But not all of them. In fact, as they share some wine, they discuss the idea of him giving her a massage. That is not how things play out, however.
Oh!
We then see some steamy foreplay in the bedroom, with Justin removing his shirt. Veronica straddles him and kisses all along his torso while undoing his pants. We have to imagine that producers were as enthralled as many viewers before snapping out of it and leaving the two of them to their business.
Caesar Mack
We don’t get much from Caesar yet, except for his date with Katarina. She is Russian, she speaks Ukrainian and lives in Ukraine, and she previously lived with her (now ex) husband in Israel. Caesar is nervous because he (accurately) suspects that she is out of his league. However, they also have things in common. She is a nail tech, and has been for ten years.
It’s not an eventful time, but that’s okay
First of all, not every date should be an explosive nightmare or steamy f–kfest. We have Natalie for instability. We have Veronica to bring the heat. Honestly, a big part of this scene was just watching people enjoy a normal date night in a peaceful nation before a brutal invasion began. Even this week, this same beautiful city shook with explosions. This footage has ended up being more emotionally charged than anyone could have imagined while filming it.
Debbie Johnson

As much as she enjoyed hooking up with Tony during his visit, he has had to return to Canada. Meanwhile, she has just weeks to move out. Her friend had agreed to let her move in, but backed out because she doesn’t want Debbie’s cats. It’s unclear why she changed her mind, since Debbie has always had cats.
Debbie gets a call from Tony

After the two are super horny at each other for a while, he notes that she will soon be visiting him. Perhaps, he says, if she likes visiting him, she could move in with him on a permanent basis. That could be fairly sudden, but Debbie will consider it. She’s stunned. They’ve only known each other for a few days, but Debbie and Tony are clearly super horny for each other.
Colt stops by

They are in a strange situation, because Colt and Vanessa have tried to set boundaries with Debbie that she does not understand, and he has not communicated clearly. Like Debbie, he thinks that the idea of living with Tony seems premature. And if she moved so far away, their relationship could lapse.
He will watch her cats while she goes to visit, however

Debbie has written down notes on their needs. Colt reminds her that he has known these cats for all of their lives and lived with them for most of them, so he should be okay. This does branch out into some uncomfortable topics about how they communicate, and closed off emotions.
Debbie’s had enough

Finding herself getting upset, she hugs Colt and tells him goodbye. She also tells the producers that she’s done filming for the day. Poor Debbie is really under a tremendous amount of pressure.
Natalie Mordovtseva
It has been about two weeks since she last saw Josh. And by “saw,” we mean “slept with and then chased out of the hotel room with unexplained hostility because he had to work.” Natalie is as Natalie as ever. But now, it seems, she misses him, and feels differently about him than she did.
Natalie is back in Florida and opening up to her friends
She admits that she and Josh had sex. We should remember that Natalie is a grown woman, who has been married more than once, even if her vibe here is “excited and slightly repressed 17-year-old” as she spills the details to friends.
Girl, what?
Obviously, using a condom is a personal choice, and she and Josh are both adults capable of making that decision. But Natalie isn’t on any birth control at all, it sounds like. She also sounds baffled when producers ask if she might be pregnant, because she doesn’t think that it’s possible from just one night together. It sounds like the United States is not the only nation with a lackluster sex ed program.
Natalie and Josh seem to be in a good place again
Maybe absence made the heart grow fonder, but Natalie and Josh are still all wrapped up in each other. He wants her to fly out to Arizona to meet up with him again.
They meet up again
But now, in Arizona, all of those doubts and worries about whether Josh is serious about her come back. Natalie has faced off against some true antagonists on this franchise, but she is her own worst enemy.
Josh has rented a house for her
He lives north of Phoenix but has rented her a house in Scottsdale. He will be going home, because his kids live with him when he’s in town, and he and his ex do not introduce significant others to their children until the other has met them. This is a common, sensible policy for many co-parents. Natalie is downright petulant about it, and feels like Josh not letting her see his home is a rejection.
Natalie continues having a normal one
Again, she is sabotaging her own happiness by spiraling about a very nice man prioritizing being a good father.
Tania Maduro
On another date with Joel, Tania is conscious that he has a tattoo of someone else’s lips on his chest. In her mind, this is a more permanent thing than incidental paperwork that leaves her technically still married to Syngin. Joel doesn’t see it that way.
Tania is still getting accustomed to dating
She has never done “intentional” dating — looking for a partner or a future spouse — before. She is a young woman, and her one marriage sort of happened almost by accident, so that makes sense. Now that she’s doing it, she is actually looking for red flags, and she’s seeing them.
Why is he so obsessed with her documentation?
Again, they just come from very different perspectives. To her, a tattoo is a permanent (or close enough) mark on his body of an ex’ lips. Her marital status is ink on a page and decidedly temporary. To him, though, a tattoo doesn’t bar him from anything, while Tania literally can’t marry anyone else while she’s still legally married.
It’s not going to work out, is it?

Joel’s tendency to argue over nothing is definitely making her wary. She had enough of that with Syngin.
So they decide to just be friends
Joel tells her goodnight, but this is a friendship “without benefits,” so she goes to bed alone. Vacation banging is not the same as intentional dating.
Tiffany Franco
On her date with her old flame, Fabian, Tiffany received an invite to return with him to his hotel room. Fabian is handsome and charming and courteous, and Tiffany really misses intimacy. She also has the night free, as Daniel and Carley are with her mom. She says yes.
They share some wine
There in the hotel room, Fabian and Tiffany share a kiss. On the one hand, Tiffany wants this. On the other, this is her first moment of any intimacy since Ronald. She’s nervous. And though her kids are in good hands, she feels a misplaced sense of guilt for taking this time for herself.
She has to go
Tiffany apologetically tells Fabian that she needs to go home. He’d like to see her again, and she’d like that, too. He invites her to brunch the next day. Perhaps they’ll have a better time then.
