90 Day Fiance fans watched in horror as Leida Margaretha destroyed a family.
What began as an overreaction to an untidy apartment ended in Leida using emotional blackmail on her husband, Eric Rosenbrook.
Eric booted Tasha from her own apartment.
Eric and Leida's castmates watched in shock at footage of Tasha loading up her vehicle and breaking down crying.
Tasha and Eric no longer have a relationship.
Now, Leida has taken another step in her war against Tasha -- one that could destroy Tasha's future.
Tasha is turning to her followers for help by launching a GoFundMe. Take a look:
Tasha Rosenbrook never asked for this
At 19 years old, she went from being roommates with her father (she says that Eric was living in his car before he moved in with her) to being booted out by him so that his new wife could feel in control. Tasha is now 20 and fortunately has a roof over her head.
Her roommate has launched a GoFundMe on her behalf
The GoFundMe text alludes to 90 Day Fiance without dropping the show's name. It also refers to how her appearance on this show is impacting her future, but does not say how. WE know how it's impacting things.
Remember when they almost made peace?
After tremendous backlash, Leida released an indirect "apology" that Eric read aloud while Leida mostly hid out of sight, which is a strange apology. Tasha explained very simply that she didn't believe that the apology was genuine.
Leida clearly didn't mean it
Leida has secured a 4-year restraining order against Tasha. It might sound harmless, since Tasha doesn't want anything to do with her anyway, but ti's a big deal.
As Tasha has explained ...
She is now a 20-year-old with a restraining order. Rental applications and job applications alike are going to mean simple background checks. That restraining order can and probably will cut off Tasha from opportunities.
Fortunately, there are generous people in this world
Before noon on Thursday, the GoFundMe had already raised over $1,000. That's a lot of money to rake in in just two days -- and over one-third of the total for which Tasha is asking.
So, who exactly is donating?
This is purely anecdotal, but the hefty $100 donation from "Leida Sucks" is a clue that some of Tasha's donors are either sympathetic to how her life was turned upside down, or simply consider any enemy of Leida's to be a friend of theirs.
Leida pissed off a lot of people
There was more to it than her treatment of Tasha. She also disparaged Eric for paying child support for his other children, which is deeply bizarre and left a lot of viewers feeling absolutely enraged.
Some took things too far
Eric and especially Leida received death threats. Folks, do not do that, no matter how angry someone makes you. Leida may not be a good person, but sending death threats is not the solution. Especially not when some of those threats included her 5-year-old son, who unlike his mother has done nothing wrong.
But now, Tasha can't even speak up
While 90 Day Fiance aired and then again on the Tell All special, Tasha spoke out, accusing her father and Leida of lying about various things. Now, she is not only forbidden from approaching Leida -- she must refrain from posting antagonistic references to Leida on social media.
That's a hell of a situation
And Tasha is, again, 20 years old. That is an adult -- and she works and pays bills like an adult. But that is very young to suddenly become estranged from a parent with whom you so recently lived.
Maybe Eric and Leida just don't care
They're no longer on 90 Day Fiance. Leida tearfully told followers on Instagram that the show wasn't worth the hate that she received. And if they're not on the show, they're less worried about haters -- no matter what slimy actions they take.
Donating is a way to spite Leida
But, more importantly, it's a way to give Tasha a bit of a cushion. She had to move apartments with little notice, and her next job search or apartment hunt is probably going to take a little longer than the last one.
