Will Mackenzie Standifer ever say enough is enough?
Not only has she remained by the side of Ryan Edwards through numerous arrests, jail stints and rehab visits, she's even given birth to his son...
... without Ryan even being around to witness the miracle.
Fans have continually wondered why Standifer doesn't just file for divorce and move on from this drug addict, with the topic once again coming up during a recent Instagram Live session.
Here is what Mackenzie said about such a notion:
Let's Get Right to It, Shall We?
Followers wanted to know the status of Ryan and Mackenzie right away. Are they still together, despite Ryan literally being behind bars right now?
Standifer Answered in the Affirmative
“I speak with Ryan daily," she told her fans, although she didn't specify how, considering he's a warden of the state.
This is Not a New Response
When a follower previously asked "Are you and Ryan divorced," Mackenzie grew angry over the Internet and snapped back: "Hell no."
Give Her Points for Consistency?
"She's going to get over it," a source previoussly told Us Weekly. "She doesn't care at this point. She's all in with him."
Vows Do Say "For Better or Worse," Right?
In this context, one should admire Mackenzie for taking her marriage so seriously.
But Does Ryan Take It Seriously?
Within weeks of him leaving rehab late last year, he was accused of flirting with women on Tinder and even asking one for cocaine.
We know, right?!?
And Then He Got Arrested... Again
The father of two was arrested on January 23, 2019 and charged him with theft of services after he skipped out on a bar tab. Edwards was also charged with possession of heroin from a Red Bank warrant.
Dude Skipped Out on a Bar Tab?
Yup. For $36 after he reportedly ordered six whiskey drinks.
Mackenzie Claims Otherwise, Though
In this same chat, she told followers: "I had the charges on my credit card from where it was paid that day. It’s not that big of a deal. It was paid that day. The charges were dropped Monday, February 4 at 9 a.m.”
So Then Why is Ryan Still in Prison?
Mackenzie didn't really answer this one, except to somehow try to argue that she and Ryan have chosen to keep him behind bars.
“It was a decision we made together,” Mackenzie explained. “To have him go to jail and then just be off probation for good…It was the smartest decision that could have been made. Otherwise, it’s a revolving door that you never get out of the system.”
That's Not True
Know how you get out of the system? STOP BREAKING THE LAW.
This is Difficult for Ryan, However
Edwards has been arrested on at least three occasions for drug-related charges. He had only just completed a 90-day stint in rehab two months before this latest run-in with the law.
We Do Feel Bad for the Guy
He clearly has a substance abuse problem and needs help. We hope he gets it. We just can't help but raise some eyebrows over Mackenzie's answers here.
Let's Talk About His Baby Son
When asked if Jagger takes more after her or Edwards, Standifer explained that the baby inherited all of his dad's features, and "he loves his dad."
Mackenzie Refuses to Trash Her Husband
“You deal with your crap at home,” she told fans this week. “That’s how I was raised, and that’s how I’m going to be. I’m not going to publicly humiliate him. That does not work and I believe that’s so disrespectful to do that."
Go Ahead and Hate Her, Folks
Mackenzie really just cares about her family. “Literally the world hates me and that’s fine. Do you really think my life is this bad and this negative? No. There’s always going to be a villain," she says.
Quite the History
In 2017, Ryan was arrested for heroin possession. Following this arrest, the MTV personality checked into rehab for the first time.
In March of 2018, Edwards was arrested for violating the terms of his probation from the original arrest... then four months later for a third time for a probation violation while Standifer was pregnant with their son, Jagger.
It Was Then Off to Rehab... Again
In September 2018, Edwards returned to rehab, where he spent 90 days and missed the birth of his son -- before returning home in November.
And Mackenzie Has Never Waivered in Her Support
She gushed over Ryan and their marriage when he came back, prior to his January 2019 arrest.
This is What She Wrote at the Time
"God has blessed me with the most caring husband and kids. It’s hard to be vulnerable and it means so much to have them in my corner. Don’t give up on love. It’s real. It breaks walls that have been build out of stone. Thankful for a man who accepts me for who I am and what I have been through and supports me even when I feel broken. As much as I have been there for him, he’s been there for me 10x over."
