Remember when Jenelle Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2?
Of course you do, because it was so glorious, seeing her finally, at long last, face some consequences for her absurd actions.
But something happened yesterday … a lot of things, really.
According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, it looks like hell is freezing over and she may be filming again before we know it.
Guess not even a brutally slain puppy and a history of domestic violence and custody issues can keep this girl off the air.
In any case, Jenelle has made a secret trip away from David and The Land, prompting widespread speculation about her life.
Is she finally leaving him for good? Some things she shared – on top of the aforementioned trip – sure have us wondering.

A Look Back
Okay, so we all remember why Jenelle was fired, right? Or have all of the bonkers events of the past few years blended together at this point? Either way, let’s break it down real quick.
Ugh
To make a long story short, in the interest of time, it was pretty much all because of David Eason. Jenelle’s husband is the actual, literal worst.
Good Move
MTV finally dropped the Carolina Hurricane after David killed Nugget, Jenelle’s dog. So many people were so disturbed by that, and so many people contacted advertisers and vowed to never watch again, so the network kind of had to do something.

But according to reports, Jenelle’s firing had been in the works even before Nugget’s murder – MTV refused to work with David or even have him around while Jenelle filmed, but he kept showing up unexpectedly, making it too difficult for the crew to get any footage of her.
Well …
So when you’re barely able to get a person to work, and when what seems like the whole world wants her to stop working … given this combination of factors and the overall liability of having her on the payroll, it just made sense for them to let Jenelle Evans go, you know?
Replaced
So MTV went ahead and gave Jenelle the bad news and went on to replace her with Jade Cline from Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant (which is a real show by the way, not a hilariously-titled Teen Mom parody program that we made up.)
Whoa
But the thing is that MTV never explicitly said that Jenelle had been fired – in their statement on the matter, they said “We have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.” Nowhere in there was there an official termination, and perhaps this was a telling sign.
Hmmm
She’s said several times now that she’s still under contract with them. One could be forgiven if one chalked this up to Jenelle being delusional, like when she says David is a good husband of whatever. But it looks like that contract was in fact in place.
Oh Man
Like we said, we’ve been hopeful all this time that it was all just semantics, but when you lay everything out, it looks like they wanted to let everything die down and bring back their prized drama queen, right?

And unfortunately, it looks like that’s exactly what they’re doing now. Hold onto your surgically-enhanced butts.
Reunion Time!
The Teen Mom 2 girls are filming the reunion show this weekend in New York City, so Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, Kailyn Lowry, Briana DeJesus and Jade Cline are all up there, along with Catelynn Lowell (who’s there to film a segment with Chelsea about mental health), and some of the girls from Young and Pregnant.

Quite the lineup to say the least, but you know who else is up there? Yeah, you know.

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Jenelle left David and the kids back home in the swamps of North Carolina and flew into New York on Friday – pretty huge coincidence that she made the trip on the same weekend as the reunion, wouldn’t you think?
OK …
According to a source, she wasn’t there specifically for the Teen Mom 2 reunion, but she was there in the Big Apple to talk business.
Right, Right
Someone from the network called Jenelle and “requested a meeting with her,” and “They kept telling Jenelle that she is still under contract, and that they wanted to talk to her about possibly returning to the show, so she flew up there.”
It’s All Coming Together
That’s probably why she left David Eason home with the kids – MTV has made it clear that they’re not interested in doing any business with him at all for the rest of all time, so it would have been a smart move to go to the meeting by herself.
Not Camera Ready
Don’t worry about the reunion, though. Sources on the set say that she hasn’t been around at all. It looks like she was there strictly for the meeting.
Oh No Thank You
That was the good news. The bad news is that they are, indeed, in spite of all logic and better judgment, strongly considering getting Jenelle back on the show “in some form or fashion.”
Huh?
That’s pretty vague, but it could be vague on purpose. Maybe they’ll bring her in for just part of a season like they did with Mackenzie McKee to test the waters. Maybe they have a bigger rollout planned but don’t want to let the cat out of the bag yet, in case David murders anyone in the meantime. It’s all unclear so far.
So Many Possibilities
Yeah. So maybe they’ll film a special with her, or maybe she’ll just go right back to being a regular cast member. It’s really hard to say at this point.
So Intriguing …
The Ashley’s source said that Jenelle did bring her lawyer up to New York with her, which makes it sound like there were definitely some negotiations.

But Barbara, who has obviously always been a huge part of Jenelle’s storyline and filmed by herself very often, wasn’t there – she was home taking care of Jace, like always, but also Kaiser. Seems odd that Kaiser wouldn’t have stayed home with David, but that’s another story for another day.

So with all this news, we decided to check out if Jenelle and company have been sharing any details or cryptic comments on the socials, and boy, was it interesting. They never disappoint, especially given recent events. Is she finally finding the courage to leave David behind?

Jenelle hasn’t posted any photos on her Instagram, but she keeps updating her story with lyrics from “NASA” by Ariana Grande, stuff like “I’d rather be alone tonight” and “I’ma need space,” so it looks like there’s some drama with David – again, another story for another day.

Yesterday morning, she hopped on Twitter to write “Drama free weekend,” which must be a first for her.
Hey, Leah
Back to Jenelle in a second, but if we’re going chronologically, then let’s note that last night, after the rumors about Jenelle started going around, Leah simply tweeted “Bullshit,” along with some angry emojis.
A Sign?
And Briana DeJesus, who was always friendly with Jenelle despite her own history of feuding with fellow co-stars such as Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin, simply tweeted a bunch of laughing emojis.
… Really?
Early this morning, Jenelle got back on Twitter to tell everyone “I love all of you… whether u know it or not. I hear what you are saying. I get it.”
We Don’t Get It
And it seems at least one fan (see comment below) is not convinced either.
The Plot Thickens
Again, it’s unclear what she’s referring to, as Jenelle left this cryptic for a reason. But it looks like most people think she’s referring to the news about her return to the show or just like her life in general … either way, we doubt she gets it. Whatever it is.
On Second Thought …
But she did post those empowering Ariana Grande lyrics, so could there be a chance that she’s realizing that to have a successful career and a happy life she needs to finally leave David? We’ll certainly be keeping our fingers crossed, because that dude is so toxic it’s not even funny. It’s just becoming more and more dangerous for her to stay in that marriage.
