It' been almost a year since Jill Duggar's husband, Derick Dillard, was fired by TLC, but it seems the former reality star's distaste for the network that made his in-laws famous is just as potent as ever.
As The Ashley's Reality Roundup points out, Derick is so disgusted by the content offered by his former home network that he's now calling for a boycott.
It seems Derick would like to see Counting On get picked up by a different network with less "worldly" content.
We're sure Dillard's objections are purely moral and the fact that a new network might be open to re-hiring him is merely a bonus.
Check out the gallery below for the latest on D-Dill's kamikaze campaign to bring to settle the score with TLC:
The Jobless Dad
Derick Dillard hasn't worked since being fired from Counting On back in November of 2017.
The decision to ax Derick came as a result of a bigoted tirade that Dillard launched against fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings.
Turns Out Raising Kids Is Expensive
There was a time when Jill and Derick had zero income, which is a problem, as the couple has two young sons.
Making It Work
These days, Jill is shilling for beauty brands on her Instagram page, but the income is nothing like what she's accustomed to from her years as a reality star.
Lawyer for the Lord
After nearly a year of unemployment, Derick finally has some irons in the fire. He's planning to attend law school, telling fans that he was instructed to do so by God.
Nursing a Grudge
But despite the fact that his life is finally back on the upswing, Derick remains seriously pissed off at the network that forced him to pursue a real line of work ...
The Ellen Factor
Derick's latest tirade came when a fan pointed out to Derick that ads featuring Ellen DeGeneres -- an out-and-proud lesbian -- have been airing during episodes of Counting On.
Moving on "Up"
"Yeah hopefully [‘Counting On’] moves to UpTv soon,” Derick replied to the irate fan, who was apparently offended by the sight of the world's best-loved television personality.
UpTV is an esoteric basic cable network that currently airs Bringing Up Bates, a Counting On knockoff starring the Bates family, who are longtime friends of the Duggars.
The Derick Dillard Seal of Approval
Apparently, Derick considers UpTV to be a more godly network. We're thinking the preference has more to do with his hatred of TLC.
Tell Us What You REALLY Think!
Asked by another fan what he thinks of TLC's current slate of offerings, Derick went full fire and brimstone.
“I don’t watch any of them," Derick replied. "I’m now aware of them, but I encourage others not to watch the filth on TLC… and other networks, but you brought up TLC shows.”
The Hand That Feeds
While it's true that Derick hasn't received a check from TLC in quite some time, he and his wife remain financially dependent on her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
The Chain of Command
And of course, the bulk of Jim Bob and Michelle's annual earnings come from TLC. So we're guessing they're not too thrilled with Derick's latest commentary.
Derick seems to have adopted a scorched earth policy toward TLC in recent months, launching attacks against the network that go beyond his disdain for Jazz Jennings.
In April, Derick launched a homophobic tirade against Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, stars of the TLC series Nate & Jeremiah By Design.
This Effing Guy
“[Their lifestyle] affect(s) this poor child, as well as what perversions are celebrated,” Derick wrote.
Can Someone Shut Him Up Already?
“If it were adultery, I doubt a network would be so quick to focus on the reality of it as if it were OK," he added.
Good Luck With the Job Hunt, Doofus!
Needless to say, we don't think Derick will be returning to television any time soon. As for his career as a lawyer ... it should be pretty entertaining to watch him try and make that happen. But not so entertaining that it should be on TV.
