Welp. That didn’t take long.
On October 31, Jenelle Evans filed for divorce from David Eason, a development most celebrity gossip fans have been waiting to see take place for several months now.
Evans provided a lengthy statement at the time of this decision.
And now Eason has finally done the same — and, as you would expect, it was a very dumb thing that he said.
Like we said: it didn’t take him long.

Can We Have a Brief History Lesson?
Sure: Jenelle and David got married on September 23, 2017 and have a two-year old daughter together named Ensley.
But It’s a Busy Household
David also has an 11-year old daughter named Maryssa from a previous relationship and Evans has two sons from previous relationships, Kaiser and Jace.
Why Has the Marriage Fallen Apart?
Aside from Eason being a violent bigot and homophobe? We actually can’t say why Evans arrived at this decision at last, after all this ugly time as David’s wife.
But Arrive at It, She Did
“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,†Jenelle shared with fans on social media. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But it’s been my life. Like anyone else I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy…”
Okay. Go On, Jenelle…
“With time away from Teen Mom I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” she added.
Meaning What, Exactly? Well…
“The kids and I have moved away David,†Jenelle continued. “Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.â€Â
So There It Is, Right?
So it seems, although Evans never used the word “divorce.” She simply concluded as follows: “We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.”
How Has Eason Responded?
It took him a couple days, but Eason seemingly shaded Evans, 27, in a series of Instagram Story posts on Sunday, November 3. Classic Eason, right?
Sigh. What Did He Do/Say???
David posted a screenshot of a TMZ article detailing Evans’ request for full custody of their two-year-old daughter, Ensley, something that shouldn’t really have some as a shock to Eason.
And From There?
Eason posted another screengrab of a TMZ story about a 2018 road rage incident involving the MTV star — and he wrote “But this okay” wrote alongside the story, which describes how Evans allegedly followed another driver home and brandished a gun.
Did This Incident Really Happen?
Yes. Jace was even seated next to his mother in July 2018 when Jenelle grew so enraged after a driver cut her off that she yelled “Are you f-cking kidding me, dude?”
This Wasn’t All, Of Course
There was ANOTHER road rage altercation last May during which Evans allegedly pulled a gun on a driver she believed had wronged her.
Jenelle Has Been a VERY Irresponsible Mother
We’d never argue otherwise. Heck, her mother actually has legal custody of her oldest child due to Jenelle’s history of drug use and generally being awful.
We’d Never Defend Jenelle
HOWEVER, David is trying to imply here that Jenelle doesn’t deserve custody due to these road rage incident, which makes it appear is if he’s forgotten his own history here.
For Instance?
Where to begin? He got fired by MTV for making one too many homophobic remarks… and then he almost definitely beat Jenelle back in October 2018.
By Jenelle’s Own Admission, That Is
“My name is Jenelle Eason-Evans…and my husband assaulted me. He pinned me down on the ground…and there’s blood,” Jenelle told a 911 operator the night of the incident.
She Provided Pretty Grisly Details, Too
“He is in the house and he’s been drinking and I think that he got violent because he’s been drinking,” she added. I think I heard my fcking collarbone crack. And I can’t move my arms.â€Â
Eason Also Shot and Killed His Family’s Dog
He has confessed to the crime, alleging that he did so in defense of Ensley, who the bullgdog has supposed attacked. There’s little evidence to support that claim, however.
I’m A Violent A-Hole, Okay?!?
“I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face,†Eason wrote on Instagram in May. “Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that s–t at all. I’m all about protecting my family, it is my lifes mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me.â€Â
So, David Really Needs to Shut Up Here
No, Jenelle’s road rage tendencies are not okay. Almost nothing about her recent history is okay. But Eason resides in a house made entirely of glass. Dude is in no place to throw any stones.
But He’s Clearly Trying to Seem Like a Good Dad Now
“We had so much fun last weekend!” Eason wrote as a caption to this photo the same day he dragged Jenelle, adding: “Maryssa wanted to get her ear cartilage pierced but I couldn’t find a place in town to do it under 14 years old. New pair of Van’s it is I guess.”
There’s Only One Takeaway in All This?
Those poor kids. They’re in so much trouble no matter what.
