So in case you haven't been paying attention to celebrity gossip at all for the past week, you should know that David Eason is the absolute worst.
Well, we've known that for a while now, but seriously, it's bad this time.
It feels like all we've been hearing about lately has been the cruel, untimely death of poor little Nugget, a precious French bulldog puppy who was beaten and shot by David.
And if you feel the same way, well, sorry, because you're going to be hearing about it for a little while longer.
Because it looks like David hasn't got the dog murdering out of his system just yet ...
Here We Go Again ...
We have to know where we've been to know where we're going, right? That's a thing people say?
And So ...
If that's the case, then we should probably recount the facts real quick about Nugget's death.
Last Monday, Nugget allegedly bit Ensley, Jenelle and David's two-year-old daughter, and David thought that grabbing the dog, beating it, and shooting it with a shotgun was the right thing to do in this situation.
This was clearly wrong -- as you can see from the photo he shared of Ensley's "injuries," Nugget didn't even break the skin, and the issue could have easily been resolved by training the dog, or teaching Ensley how to respect its space. They could have even re-homed it.
Instead, David allegedly beat the dog so much that when he came back inside from shooting it, he was "covered in blood." Jenelle herself confirmed that he hit the dog.
As you can imagine, things quickly went downhill after that.
Jenelle claimed she was devastated by what happened, and she even made statements about how she was considering divorce.
She packed up and headed to Kentucky to stay with her friend, Jamie, and it looked like she might actually go through with the split.
Unfortunately, many sources have been saying that she's too afraid of him to leave, which makes sense for a whole lot of reasons. It's tough to leave abusers, and if he was able to shoot the family dog ... it is scary, for sure.
So she's back on the swamp with David and all the kids and animals, and we're honestly pretty terrified for her.
And so, it seems, is everyone else.
OK, so Nugget's death has caused quite the uproar, right?
The story keeps getting more and more attention, and as it does, more and more things have been happening.
At first, the word was that nothing could be done to David legally unless Jenelle pressed charges, which is unlikely to happen, but it's starting to look like that's not the case anymore.
We know that animal control payed David a visit a few days ago, and when they were greeted by Jax, Jenelle's pitbull, on the front porch surrounded by a bunch of "No Trespassing" signs, they decided to get police involved, too.
After that, the sheriff's department released an official statement explaining that they, along with animal control, "initiated a joint investigation into allegations of animal cruelty. The investigation is ongoing."
Additionally, reports have said that the CPS down in Jenelle's neck of the woods has gotten several requests to check in on the children, because again, if David could kill the family dog ...
Too Little, Too Late?
One of the most recent things we've heard about all this is that David is finally admitting that he may have a problem, and that he's looking into starting therapy because he "truly understands his anger could be a danger to his loved ones."
And it sounds like the sheriff's department agrees.
According to a new report from TMZ, an official for their county's sheriff's department said that David "is the most dangerous man in the 3 counties surrounding their home."
And that's a pretty big deal, right? The most dangerous person in any three counties has to be, like, pretty darn dangerous.
This source also says something that we've heard before, which is that police can't do anything about what David did to Nugget unless Jenelle takes action, which is seriously disappointing.
Especially because the source claims that everyone around Jenelle believes that she won't do anything "because she's afraid of him."
Apparently they can't even go to the house without permission, which they certainly won't be getting from David.
It gets worse though, because TMZ's source claims that the sheriff's department believes David will do something "way more horrible" if he keeps going the way he's going.
And knowing what we know about David ... we definitely believe it.
Oh, and you know what else this source says? That police have also gotten reports that David has been shooting at Jenelle's other dog.
Yep, Jenelle's had her pitbull, Jax, for a while now, and David has allegedly been shooting at him with a BB gun because he's been interested in all the farm animals they've been getting latley.
It's so disturbing that David thinks that shooting at dogs is an alternative to, you know, training them.
Such a Mess
We wish we could say we're surprised by any of this, but we're really, REALLY not.
Pull Through, Jenelle
Hopefully Jenelle manages to leave him before something even worse happens ... though it's scary to think what it would take for her to leave if beating and killing her puppy couldn't do the trick.
