A new season of Teen Mom 2 is upon us, and while we’re sure there will be no shortage of drama for each of the moms, there’s one conflict in particular that fans are dying to see play out on their TV screens.
When Briana DeJesus joined the cast last season, it was widely assumed she would have no trouble shaking things up and keeping the long-running series from becoming stagnant.
But no one knew she would deliver the dramatic fireworks with such ease right off the bat.
Last year, Briana dated Javi Marroquin, and while the relationship didn’t last long, the ensuing rivalry between Bri and Javi’s ex-wife, Kailyn Lowry, is still raging on.
The whole thing has played out largely on social media, but now it looks like TM2 viewers will finally get to see two of the show’s strongest personalities lock horns on screen.
And MTV has finally given fans a glimpse of how it will all go down …
Javi Drama
Despite rumors to the contrary, Briana and Kailyn were never exactly friends. Sources indicate that Kail wasn’t thrilled when Bri joined the cast, but the rivalry between them didn’t really intensify until Javi began showing a romantic interest in Bri.
A Low-Key Romance?
Rumors that the ladies were clashing over Javi began well before he and Bri made their relationship official last fall. It’s unclear exactly when Marroquin and DeJesus began hooking up, but we now know that Lowry’s suspicions were correct.
A Potential Reunion?
There have been rumors that Kail and Javi were on the verge of reconciliation when Briana entered the picture. That doesn’t appear to have been the case, but still, Kail was not thrilled with the news that her ex-husband was hooking up with her new co-star.
Making It Official
It seems that by the time Briana and Javi confirmed that they were dating, Kailyn had already made up her mind about Bri. And just like that, one of the great rivalries in the history of the Teen Mom franchise was born.
The Throwdown
Now, we’re getting our best look yet at this ongoing feud. And it’s all thanks to a newly-released trailer for the new season of Teen Mom 2, as well as some exclusive comments from DeJesus regarding her feelings toward Lowry.
An Accusation of Saltiness
“You’re salty that Javi is moving on,†Briana tells Kailyn in the trailer. “I don’t give a f-ck if he moves on,†Lowry replies. But does she? Thus far, Kail has been uncharacteristically quiet on the matter, but Briana spoke to The Hollywood Gossip recently, and she had this to say…
Non-Factors Everywhere
“Kail is a non-factor and so is Javi,” Briana wrote in a statement to THG. “I’m not excited about seeing them but it’s a part of the job so whatever. Kail and Javi are nonfactors.”
So Over It
“I’m over the whole thing (with Kail and Javi). Can we be friends? Uh I don’t really care for it,” DeJesus said. “I only have to see them when MTV needs me which isn’t all the time so it doesn’t affect my personal life at all.”
Taking the High Road?
Bri went on to say that her chosen method for avoiding additional drama with Kail and Kavi is a simple one: “I won’t talk to them when I see them, but I’m over the drama with them,” she wrote.
That OTHER Feud
Of course, the feud with Briana isn’t the only beef on Kailyn’s plate at the moment. She’s also been butting heads with Jenelle Evans as a result of comments Evans recently made about Leah Messer.
Alliances Are Forming
Basically, we have a world war in the making, with Jenelle and Briana joining forces against the rest of the cast. The situation has the potential to get ugly in a hurry, but Bri says she has no interest in exacerbating existing conflicts.
Jenelle Has a Friend!
“Jenelle and I are cool. We talk on occasion. I’m excited to see her in NYC for the reunion,” DeJesus told us, adding that she has no interest in taking sides against Kail.
The Past Is the Past
“Whatever happened in the past can stay there and honestly, that whole Jenelle sh-t has nothing to do with me,” DeJesus said.
Are We Talking About the Same Jenelle?
“She’s cool in my book,” Bri says about Jenelle. “She hasn’t done anything to me so there’s no reason not to like her or David. I’m over the whole thing.” Hey, we’re glad SOMEONE is able to get along with the Carolina Hurricane!
And the Rest of the Cast?
It’s not hard to see why Briana and Jenelle have hit it off, considering the other three TM2 cast members seem to be united against them. But while Bri seems to have come to terms with the fact that she’ll never be cool with Kail, she also appears to have adopted an attitude of complete indifference toward Lowry’s allies.
The Messer Response
“Leah blocked me on all social media sites,” she revealed to us. DeJesus had nothing to say about Chelsea Houska, who seems to have steered clear of the drama entirely.
Trailer Perks
Of course, TM2 is different from other reality shows in that the cast spends most of their time in separate states. Their face-to-face conflicts are limited to when they assemble for MTV events, such as reunion shows. But as you can see from the newly-released trailer, there’s no shortatge of hostility when the ladies meet.
Podcast Shade
The feud between Kail and Bri has thrived thanks to social media and Lowry’s podcast, which Kail has allegedly used to throw shade at DeJesus, such as when she interviewed Javi back in January.
Uncertain Future
At the time, Javi and Bri were still dating. It wouldn’t be long before the couple broke up, but during his appearance on Coffee Convos, Marroquin seemed to think he and DeJesus might have a future together.
An Evasive Answer
“I don’t know what the future holds. There is a lot we have to discuss and talk about before we make any other decisions,†Marroquin replied to Lowry’s inquiry about his relationship.
Not Having It
Most people will never have the experience of hearing their current boyfriend being interviewed by his ex, but we guess it should come as no surprise that Briana didn’t particularly enjoy the episode.
Briana Claps Back
Shortly after the podcast went live, Briana tweeted out her response to the interview and revealed that Kail had recently contacted her.
Mad Bri
“1) Do not ever call my phone at 7am talking about we need to leave social media alone when it comes to our issues but you are the 1st one to use my name to gain listeners,” Briana’s rant began.

“2) don’t you ever text my man about me and think hes ok to bad mouth me cause thats when the line gets crossed,†she continued. “Don’t sit 15 feet away from me and talk s—t indirectly cause I’ll approach u just like I did and do go crying in ur dressing room cause u couldn’t handle my mouth.†Believe it or not, Bri concluded her rant with a promise to Kail…
Never Sorry
“I am not the common denominator as to why yall fail to co parent so dont ever use my name in that matter again,” she added. “And you are right, ill never say sorry cause I am not the one who started all this mess … You use ur kids as pawns and that is not my fault but ur own selfish reasoning.” Yeah, if we weren’t already looking forward to seeing these two butt heads this season, we certainly are now.
