90 Day Fiance cheater Jay Smith has moved on with his mistress, but what is Ashley up to?
As it turns out, she’s busy dropping truth bombs in a new interview with In Touch Weekly.
Fans have had a lot of questions for a long time — about her, about Jay, and about what she has planned.
Ashley is telling all, addressing her wildest rumors, and offering up a lot of new information.
Some of it is bound to upset Jay. Take a look:
Ashley is spilling the beans!
In a new interview with In Touch Weekly, Ashley is answering questions that have been haunting 90 Day Fiance fans for months.
WHY did she storm off at the Tell All Special?
“I’m still under contract,” Ashley laments. “So I can’t really say.” She does confirm that it had nothing whatsoever to do with Jay.
Jay keeps hinting SHE’s the bad guy — what’s that about?
Ashley notes that Jay has been receiving a massive amount of backlash and says that he’s just trying desperately to deflect blame. “I just wish he would own up to it instead of trying to throw me under the bus.”
Did Ashley cheat too?
No — she did receive some suggestive texts from someone else at the barbershop, but that was a while back. Ashley declined and even showed Jay.
It was a set-up, anyway
Ashley says that she later learned that Jay had arranged for the flirty texts to be sent to her, possibly as some sort of test to see if Ashley would cheat. It sounds weird, but remember: no one is more paranoid about being cheated upon than cheaters themselves.
Why did Jay’s own friends sell him out?
Ashley explains that Jay had been too disrespectful too many times for any level of “bro code” or whatever to require them to keep his secrets. Apparently, the bathroom bang was not an isolated incident.
HERE’s a good question:
Jay is super young. Just how old was he when he and Ashley first met? According to Ashley, he was 19 … but he didn’t tell her that.
He told her WHAT?!
He apparently exaggerated his age all the way up to 26, and Ashley didn’t think to check until it came time to fill out the K-1 visa paperwork. It was Jay’s mother who told her that he was only 19. She gave Jay three weeks of the silent treatment but, by that point, she was already in love.
So about that fraud scandal …
This was something that we more or less understood. There had been a real account bashing them. Then, Jay created a second account after the first was deleted, hoping that no one else would make another real account against them. Then, being a himbo (hot but sometimes dumb), Jay went live from the account. Whoops.
She’s talked about it before
Not only on Instagram after it happened — not that it did much good with the castmates who vowed to never trust her again — but at the Tell All special. Ashley explains that the explanation was merely cut for time.
What else was cut for time?
Nothing too juicy, it sounds like, outside of what really caused Ashley to storm off of the stage. She says that there was a lot of “he said, she said” backa nd forth between her and Jay that didn’t make it to air.
Ashley HAS broken NDA before
Earlier this year, she and Jay had essentially no choice but to break their NDA. As Ashley explains, it was not reasonable to require two people who are already famous to hide their marriage for eight solid months.
As for Poochie …
Jay’s sister Poochie made a good impression on the show. But in recent months, she has been bashing Ashley left and right on social media. Ashley says that she has no contact with Poochie — except to have her former sister-in-law served with cease and desist documents.
Here’s a bit of a wildcard
No, Ashley is not opposed to plastic surgery. In fact, she’s had lip fillers and reveals that she has had plastic surgery of one form or another.
Also … is 90 Day Fiance fake or staged?
We all know that editors work their magic and producers meddle. But Ashley says that the barbershop boning really happened. She even shares that there was more than viewers knew because some of the evidence of Jay’s cheating was not appropriate for television.
So what’s next?
Good news for Ashley’s many, many fans and for those who just enjoy following her drama — it looks like she’s sticking with the world of reality television. We don’t know what form, but that’s exciting.
Ashley seems to be in a much better place these days
She reveals that she lost a significant amount of weight back in April and May when she and Jay were initially splitting, but that’s she’s much better now.
She’s focusing on what matters
Even with her reality TV plans, Ashley’s #1 priority is her children — and she has vowed that they will never show up on TV as minors. Good for her.
Will Jay try to retaliate?
Jay seems to prefer grumbling and alluding to secret drama than coming right out and saying what he thinks happened. It would be interesting to hear him answer questions as bluntly as Ashley has. It would be even more interesting to keep a note of who believes what he has to say.
