90 Day Fiance fans have learned the truly gross details of Jay Smith’s first cheating scandal.
Some aspects of Jay’s more recent cheating scandal remain under wraps … for now.
But Ashley Martson has spoken out, not about what Jay did with his penis, but about what what he did to her heart.
After he broke her heart into a million pieces, you would think that she would hate him.
Instead, Ashley says that it’s quite the opposite: despite everything, she still loves him.
As you can see below, she explains why she divorced him anyway.
Ashley has made a stunning announcement
She … still loves Jay? To explain why that’s such a shocker, we need to think of all that she’s been through — all that Jay has put her through.
Their marriage started off with a disaster
Just days after their wedding, Jay downloaded Tinder and started chatting with other women. Ashley caught him video chatting with a girl and inviting her to “his” (Ashley’s) house!
But eventually, she stuck with him
It took ages for them to work past that cheating incident, as we have seen on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? But they stuck together and remained married for months and months.
In April, it all fell apart
Ashley took to her Instagram Stories to strongly suggest that Jay had cheated on her again. She also mockingly suggested that he would have to go home to Jamaica.
Their breakup was confirmed by a third party
Larissa referring to Ashley as single then prompted Ashley to confirm the split — in good humor
She’s referring to this famous quote
We wish that Larissa’s line had been a Game of Thrones spoiler. Sadly, the words that she yelled at her erstwhile husband and his family suggested a better ending than the show actually got. But that’s beside the point!
Ashley accused Jay of cheating … again
It even showed up on her divorce filing, where she accused Jay of adultery on page 5.
Ashley even exposed the alleged mistress
Ashley accused a woman of being a homewrecker after the girl in question reached out to her.
Ashley was what you’d call “Big Mad”
She accused the woman of being a “homewrecker.” Real talk: there’s no such thing, not really. If your husband cheats, HE wrecked the home. As far as we know, this woman didn’t know Ashley. Honestly, who KNOWS what Jay may have told her. The last time he cheated, the high school senior he was chatting with had no idea that he was married.
Even so, they did a photoshoot together
Planned seven months in advance, the paid wedding photoshot for Ashley and Jay came at an awkward time, but they powered on through the experience anyway.
Fans seemed REALLY confused by the photos
Maybe they missed some Instagram Stories … and some articles on like every site, including ours … and Ashley’s own caption beside the photos. Ashley had to explain the pics again and again and again.
She dabbled in dating again, but …
Ashley isn’t seeing anyone seriously. She still has a broken heart.
She and Jay still communicate at times
She knew enough to know that Jay was able to handle his immigration issue outside of court, which is why his May 8 deportation hearing never happened. That’s good, because it was the same day as her photoshoot.
Now comes Ashley’s STARTLING revelation
This week in her Instagram Stories, Ashley calls divorcing Jay “the hardest thing I ever did in my life.”

Ashley confirms: “I still love him.”
But she’s realistic about it
“I just know it can’t work,” she admits. Probably because he apparently can’t resist boning other women left and right the moment that Ashley turns her back.

“Too much damage has been done,” Ashley’s emotional confession concludes.

Cheating isn’t shocking
Like half of all marriages involve cheating, which doesn’t make it okay, but it’s not exactly surprising. And it’s less surprising from Jay, whom we’ve all known was a cheater for many months, now.
So what went down?
Did he NEVER stop cheating on her? Did he cheat while she was in the hospital? Did he cheat with a comically large number of mistresses? Was that story that he fathered a child out of wedlock, a story that Jay has adamanetly denied, true?
It’s anyone’s guess, but we need to be careful
We hate to speculate too far — doing so would mean accusing Jay of various terrible things that would qualify as “shocking.”
