This Just In:
Every year on October 31, young people dress up in costumes and go around collecting candy from their neighbors on an occasion known as Halloween.
To celebrate the holiday and this frightening theme, we’re rounding up the best horror TV shows around. You might as well just give in to the terror of the season, right?
The Hollywood Gossip have got you covered.
Prepare to be scared, in the best way possible…
The Haunting of Hill House – Netflix

This series took the world by storm when it launched in 2018. It freaked audiences out so much that many couldn’t get through the entire first season. Will you be brave enough to beat this one?
American Horror Story – FX

American Horror Story is well into its ninth season, and for a good reason: It’s filled with jump scares. Thankfully, there are nine distinctly different seasons to choose from, depending on what you’re in the mood for.
Stranger Things – Netflix

Stranger Things is not described as horror by Netflix, but there are plenty of scary moments for it to be on your Halloween binge list. We promise!
Bates Motel – A&E

The origins of Norman Bates are not for the faint of heart. This five-season series chronicles a young boy’s murderous tendencies coming out to play. It has a moody atmosphere that never really lets up.
Supernatural – The CW

Supernatural knows how to dial up the scares. That’s part of the reason why it has been on the air for 15 years.
Hannibal – NBC

This NBC drama focused on Hannibal Lecter, and there were other serial killers along for the ride. It did get canceled, but the three-season series is widely considered one of the best TV shows out there.
Prodigal Son – Fox

It has Michael Sheen as a serial killer. Need we say more?
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – Netflix

This is not the Sabrina you grew up with. This Netflix series follows the comics more closely, and that can only mean one thing: Lots of frights!
Slasher – Netflix

Like American Horror Story, Slasher flips the script every season, with a brand-new story and characters.
The Walking Dead – AMC

It became more of a comedy at one point, but a new showrunner has successfully made the series freaky again. It’s all thanks to a group of people who wear zombie skin as masks to blend in with them. Eeek.
EVIL – CBS

EVIL follows a group of people who look into mysterious happenings. Sadly for them, all the cases involve possessions. Yes, it’s pretty messed up.
Scream 2.0 – VH1

The third season of Scream was a reboot that had some heinous murders, as well as some horrifying scenes. Ditch the first two seasons, unless you’re looking for a cheesy Pretty Little Liars rip off.
YOU – Netflix

YOU was supposed to be a thriller, but given that the lead character started murdering people in gruesome fashion, it will fulfill your horror needs for Halloween.
