Given the insane popularity of the first film featuring Elsa, Anna and Olaf, it may have seemed like a foregone conclusion that a sequel to 2013's Frozen would eventually hit theaters.

But sixteen months after the release of the most successful animated movie of all time, Disney's only response to the success of the first flick was a short entitled Frozen Fever and roughly 42 million tie-in products targeted at young girls.

Frozen Fever is finally hitting theaters, and those clever SOBs at Disney have offered up a 40-second trailer that pretty much guarantees you'll be forced to shell out for Cinderella next month, if only so your kids can see the animated short featuring Elsa and company.

In an interview with The Telegraph late last week, Idina Menzel confirmed that both a stage adaptation of the wildly successful movie is in the works... along with a sequel.
