… and fails to even come close to scoring?
According to a blistering new report, Meghan Markle is nothing but a manipulative liar who really should never be trusted.
Allow us to explain why:
Earlier this year, a show business insider alleged that Markle had told a journalist that soccer star Ashley Cole once tried very hard to ask her out.
The supposed flirting took place over Twitter way back in 2013 and was rebuffed by the now-Duchess of Sussex, Markle reportedly told Daily Mail gossip columnist Katie Hind a very long time ago.
It seemed like an odd thing to brag about and/or note, but the journalist claimed it was all part of an effort by Markle to make a big name for herself.
See?!? Look! I turned down Ashley Cole! Meghan wanted to be able to brag, if you believe this tale.
However, someone very close to Ashley Cole is now here to shoot it down completely.
“It’s nonsense, completely made up. He definitely wouldn’t have to beg Meghan Markle for a date," Ashley’s brother, Matty, tells The Sun, adding in very clear shared hurled at the ex-actress:
“She’s not the kind of girl he goes for anyway, and he’s never fancied her.”
Ouch, huh?
As most celebrity gossip followers know well by now, Markle has been under siege by the British tabloids ever since marrying Prince Harry in May 2018.
She has constantly been accused of feuding with Royal Family members and of bucking tradition and of seeking the spotlight above all else.
And while both Meghan and Harry sat back for many months and remained quiet amid this abuse, it’s very clear at this point:
They’ve had enough.
The Royal Couple has even filed a defamation lawsuit, something Harry explained las month in a scathing/heartfelt defense of his beloved.
"My wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences – a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son,” Harry said in this rare statement.
He added:
"There is a human cost to this relentless propaganda, specifically when it is knowingly false and malicious, and though we have continued to put on a brave face – as so many of you can relate to – I cannot begin to describe how painful it has been."
This is how Harry concluded his admirable statement:
I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditised to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person.
I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.
