Folks, it brings us no pleasure to report this story.
There's much to be said about Rob Kardashian's sense of entitlement and apparent laziness, but the latest update on his increasingly directionless life just leaves us feeling bad for the guy.
According to Radar Online, Rob recently reached a sad milestone:
He has reportedly not been seen in public in over 800 days.
Even more troubling is the fact that Rob's friends and family say they rarely lay eyes on him, as the former reality star leaves his home only when absolutely necessary.
“No one ever sees him,” a source tells Radar.
“He just hangs out at his house all the time.”
The news is especially disheartening given the fact that just a few short years ago, the troubled father of one appeared to be making major progress.
When Rob started dating Blac Chyna, his family was initially opposed to the union.
But to her credit, Chyna seemed to have a positive effect on Rob's life.
Within weeks, Kardashian was losing weight and participating in family events once again.
But of course, the greatest impact Blac had on Rob's life came in the form of the couple's daughter, Dream Kardashian.
In Dream, Rob seemed to find the motivation to turn his life around.
Against all odds, he even showed a renewed interest in his failed business ventures and resumed making appearances on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
But when Rob and Blac's relationship fell apart, it did so in spectacular fashion.
Though the Forgotten Kardashian was clearly troubled and likely grappling with some sort of undiagnosed mental illness, there were times when he made it impossible to root for him, such as when Rob posted "revenge porn" pics of Blac on social media.
Now that the dust has settled, it seems the 32-year-old has returned to his reclusive ways.
“Rob keeps going through the same pattern of wanting to stop hiding, but then he becomes a complete recluse all over again,” the source tells Radar.
“His family loves him but at this point, they’re at a loss over what to do.”
Rob has a lot of work to do in order to reach a point where he can be happy and healthy.
But on the off chance he sees this, we'd like to remind him that it can be done -- and millions have overcome far worse.
And if it helps even in the slightest, we're rooting for him again.
