These are sad, strange times for the Chrisley family.
Ever since Todd Chrisley was indicted on tax evasion charges earlier this month, it seems that not a day goes by without a new scandal for the former reality star.
Chrisley has sold his mansion and appears to be gearing up for the legal battle of a lifetime as he faces 30 years behind bars.
In addition to the allegations that he concealed earnings from the IRS, the 50-year-old stands accused of extorting his estranged daughter, Lindsie Chrisley.
In a disgusting turn of events, the world learned this week that Todd is in possession of a sex tape that Lindsie made with former Bachelorette star Robby Hayes.
He allegedly used the footage to blackmail his daughter.
Yeah, not exactly father of the year material.
Anyway, it seems the hits just keep coming, as Chrisley's 27-year-old son Kyle was unexpectedly hospitalized this week.
"NOT TODAY SATAN, NOT TODAY... God shows up and shows out, now won't he do it?" Chrisley captioned the pic below.
"Kyle is great and we are back to the grind .." he added.
Notably absent from the photo was Lindsie, who accused her father of fishing for sympathy.
"Gah, flexing that sympathy card so hard," she tweeted. "Keep reaching boo."
While we obviously don't know Todd's motives in posting the pic, fans have been assured that Kyle's health issues are not serious.
"He had an adverse reaction to his medication, but as you can see from the photo his father posted on Instagram, he is doing great," said a statement from a family spokesperson.
As fans of Todd's now-canceled reality show know, Kyle was estranged from his father until recently.
The former addict revealed in a recent Facebook post that he is back on good terms with his embattled father:
"I'm telling you now, with a clear mind, my mom and dad have done nothing wrong! Today, I am sober. I am working, and I am at a good place in my life," Kyle shared.
"I will continue to stand as a united front alongside my mom, my dad and the rest of my family."
This stands in sharp contrast to an interview that Kyle gave to Good Morning America, in which he claimed that his father brags about not paying taxes.
“I’ve seen all the stories about my dad’s indictment all over the internet,” Kyle wrote.
"I know the interview I did bashing my dad OVER A YEAR AGO is being shared on social media. Honestly, I’m tired of it. You guys don’t have the facts and I need to set the record straight once and for all.”
“Everything I said in my interview was a lie,” he continued.
“These allegations against my dad are all LIES!”
Todd may have regained the support of his son, but he still has a very tough road ahead.
