We know, we know -- you've heard this one before.
Royal pregnancy rumors are such a constant fixture in the British tabloid media, that we feel like some of these outlets are a little bummed when a royal is actually pregnant.
Not much room to wildly speculate once the news is official.
Anyway, in the past, there have been reports of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle being pregnant at the same time.
They've always turned out to be bogus, but that's not gonna stop the media from trotting out that narrative again.
And hey -- they could be onto something this time.
Sure, Meghan just welcomed her first child back in May but she's made it clear from the start that she wants to give little Archie a younger sibling at some point.
And yes, Kate gave birth to her third in April of last year, but she's repeatedly stated that she wants a large family.
Meghan is 38, and Kate will be there in just a few short months.
You get the occasional Janet Jackson type who enjoys a problem-free pregnancy at 50, but doctors advise getting your baby-makin' out of the way before your late-30s, particularly in cases like Kate's in which all previous pregnancies have been riddled by complications.
The point being, Kate and Meg are probably both planning pregnancies in the very near future, which means we could be on the verge of a situation the UK tabloids have been dreaming of for years.
Yes, we're talking about Dueling Duchess Baby Bumps.
Thus far, the only official talk of a second pregnancy from Meg (from people who actually know what they're talking about) has come from royal expert Katie Nicholl.
“I think it’s probably a little premature to be speaking about a second baby," Nicholl recently told Entertainment Tonight.
“That said, sources close to the couple told me that they really would love to have a big family.”
Not exactly a firm confirmation that Meg is expecting -- quite the opposite, in fact!
Despite that, royal obsessives are making much of Nicholls' closing statement on the subject:
“They absolutely want siblings for Archie, so possibly we will have a pregnancy announcement for Meghan and Harry sometime next year,” she told ET.
That was all it took for the media and oddsmakers to go nuts over the possibility of two royal pregnancies in a single year:
"We're anticipating a huge year for the royals in 2020 with not one but two new additions seemingly on their way," says a source from the gambling site Ladbrokes.
It doesn't get much more official than that!
But hey, we guess it makes sense that certain outlets are pushing this narrative so hard.
After all, Prince Harry has made it clear that he and Meghan are stopping after two kids, which means it may be the press' last chance to force this nonsense on us.
