A lot of people were mighty skeptical when Jax Taylor proposed to Brittany Cartwright — and rightfully so.
After all, Jax had been caught cheating on Brittany just months before he popped the question.
And of course, there was the pesky fact that Taylor had spent the past 40 years proving himself to be a pathological liar and unrepentant narcissist with sociopathic tendencies.
But against all odds, Jax and Brittany tied the knot earlier this summer in a ceremony that was filmed for the upcoming season of Vanderpump Rules.
Of course, happy endings only happen in fairy tales and massage parlors, and it seems the Taylors are figuring out the hard way that marriage brings its own challenges.
Since getting married in July, Jax has now been spotted without his wedding ring twice.
And one insider tells Hollywood Life, that it’s the marriage, not the ring that doesn’t fit properly.
"Jax and Brittany are already rocky since getting married," says the source.
"Since moving into their beautiful new home Brittany has been spending a lot of money to make it look exceptionally nice and beautiful and Jax is upset about how much his wife is spending,” the insider adds.
“She’s doing so much to their new home and Jax doesn’t think that they should be spending all that money."
The reason Brittany is working so hard to transform her new home?
It seems she’s eager to get pregnant ASAP.
“Brittany wants to decorate and make a home since she’d like to have kids sooner than later, and she wants Jax to show he’s invested in them and their home and lives,” the source explains.
“Brittany has times where she gets nervous Jax is going to go back to his old habits and not stick to his promises.”
Jax swears he’s a changed man, but the insider says he’s finding the pressures of marriage and impending fatherhood to be more than he bargained for.
But in a statement to Us Weekly, Brit swears all is well in her marriage, and Jax removes his ring from time to time for
“I love his ring, I love seeing it on him,” Brittany told the tabloid.
“He’s always wearing it, he hasn’t lost it or anything yet, I was really worried about that … He’s even gonna get workout rings that he can wear to the gym.”
Workout rings, eh?
