Family reunions are a very special occasion for Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra!
The famous couple, who are both 27 years old, made the responsible yet heartbreaking decision to place their first child Carly up for adoption back in 2009, which was fully documented on MTV's 16 and Pregnant.
Throughout their reality TV career we have seen them struggle with the arrangement, especially Catelynn who has understandably dealt with guilt and postpartum depression.
But Saturday, June 29th was a big day for the couple as they got to finally reunite with Carly, 10, for the first time in two years!
Catelynn was very excited for the family affair and took to Twitter to share the news.
"Today is a very special day we get to see Carly and her parents," Catelynn tweeted.
"Nova & Vaeda get to hang with their sister," she said adding #blessed #adoption #sisters along with a heart and smiley face emoji.
This will be the second time Carly will get to see and play with her little sister Nova, and her first time meeting four-month-old Vaeda.
Fans had mixed feelings over the news... although most were excited for the fam, saying, "Yeah!!!!! So happy for you two but especially all those sisters!"
Adding, "I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say may this day hold the memories that you will carry with you for a lifetime."
But some fans were not too happy with the fact that Catelynn had revealed the information with her 1.4 million Twitter followers.
"Still refusing to give Carly the privacy she deserves," one fan said.
"That's awesome but you should keep that private. That's what Carly's parents want..." shared another.
Either way, it's exciting news and nothing about their life is all that private.
Even Tyler couldn't hold back his excitement for the special day.
He took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of 4-year-old Nova smiling with her hair in two high ponytail braids, looking very ready to see her big sister.
"I'm so blessed that this beautiful little angel gets to see Carly this weekend!" Tyler captioned the photo.
"There really isn't anything more precious to witness as a father than all of his girls together! #Adoption #BirthparentStrong."
Overall fans seemed to be very supportive and proud of how open Tyler and Catelynn have been with their adoption experience.
"I'm so excited for all of you! shared one user. "I am an adoptive mother and we have learned from your experiences and have a very open adoption."
"Thank you for always sharing your story!"
"I can't wait till Carly is 18 and can see her sisters whenever she wants," another commented.
Ty and Cate were forced to make that difficult choice as teenagers while living in an unstable home with Catelynn's mother, April Brockmiller, and Tyler's father, Butch Baltierra, who both struggled with substance abuse.
The first-time parents opted for open adoption as they did not think they would be able to provide the best environment for their daughter.
MTV cameras captured the emotional and tear-jerking moment as Catelynn and Tyler said goodbye to Carly shortly after she was born.
But luckily, Carly's adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa, finally agreed to let their daughter visit with her biological family for the first time in two years.
We're sure they had a great day filled with lots of playtime and hugs!
