Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley have not attacked each other, physically or emotionally, in weeks.
So we guess that's progress.
But even when Ronnie and Jen head off to The Happiest Place on Earth together, they are still miserable, a new photo and report makes very clear.
On Wednesday morning, TMZ snapped a photo of the Jersey Shore star and his on-again/off-again/on-again/off-again girlfriend walking through the airport on the way to Disney World.
They were with their one-year old daughter, Arian and, simply put, they looked miserable.
Looks can be deceiving, however, yet sources tell the aforementioned celebrity gossip website that this wasn't the case for Ronnie and Jen.
They reportedly didn't sit together or speak during the flight to Florida.
Are the reality stars fully dating once more? Are they actually a romantic item? Or are they simply sucking it up and trying to act cordial while co-parenting their young child?
It's not entirely clear at this time.
But insiders tell TMZ that Ronnie and Jen are "still far from being solid," constantly going back and forth in regard to their relationship status.
Family members and friends close to the occasional couple remain quite concerned about Jen and Ronnie overall, fearing things will take another violent turn at any moment.
And this is extra worrisome because there's a very young girl caught in the middle of the chaos these two often create between each other.
Harley was recently arrested in conjunction with the fight she and Ronnie got into on New Year's Eve.
According to various sources, Jen hurled a glass ashtray at Ronnie while she was out partying with him in Las Vegas.
It struck him in the face, leaving a bloody wound and prompting Ronnie to finally walk away from his dangerous lover... seemingly for good.
But it was really just for a few weeks in the end.
Harley and Ortiz-Magro were spotted out and about in April, not punching each other nor screaming at each other nor dragging each other down the street by a car.
Still, this doesn't mean all is well between the couple. Things can change at any time.
To his credit, Ronnie did check into rehab earlier this year, acknowledging in an interview with Us Weekly that he needed help with alcohol dependence and depression overall.
"I just had to surrender and say, ‘I don’t have control over this.’ I don’t know who I am anymore. I don’t know what to do," Ronnie admitted in an interview, adding:
“I was in a place of depression, and with depression I turned to alcohol. I was sitting there blaming everything else; I was like the victim, and I’m not a victim to life."
"I decided to go to treatment because I wanted to be a better person, a better father for my daughter. Eventually, all the bad decisions I was making were going to lead me to places that I didn't want to be.
"I wanted to be led to the place that I am now - that's happy, healthy and the best role model for my daughter."
Amen, dude. Well done.
Now turn around, get as far away from Jen Harley as possible -- and never return to her.
