Early Monday morning, Duchess Meghan Markle gave birth to her baby boy.
She and Prince Harry are over the moon, and even her estranged father released a shockingly tasteful statement of congratulations.
But what does Meghan's ex-husband have to say? Nothing good, it seems. ...
Trevor Engelson will not be giving a shoutout to his ex-wife for the birth of her royal child, Us Weekly reports.
"Trevor doesn’t really think about Meghan," the insider claims.
That sounds ... a little preposterous. She's his ex, and also one of the most famous people on the planet.
But the source insists that it's because "he’s in a very happy relationship and about to be married."
How nice for him, we suppose.
Exes who aren't at each other's throats know how to be mature enough to send a kind word when it is due.
Clearly, that is not the case here.
"He will not be reaching out to congratulate them," the insider reveals. "As Meghan and Trevor no longer speak."
"Trevor is focused on the memorial of his close friend John Singleton at the moment," the source adds. "Not the birth of an ex’s baby."
His grief is understandable, but it seems like a shame that they're not on better terms.
Meghan and Trevor were married in 2011.
The marriage did not last long, and they were divorced two years later.
Despite the role that divorce played in British royal history, the idea of a royal spouse having been divorced was unprecedended for generations -- until now.
Their divorce was over irreconcilable differences.
Perhaps they are simply distant from each other, but it may be that Trevor's feelings of disinterest are mutual.
Either way, Meghan probably isn't going to lose any sleep over not hearing from her ex.
On Monday morning, the happy news broke.
"We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child," the official statement read.
The statement continued, stating that Meghan gave birth "in the early morning on May 6, 2019."
"Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7 lbs. 3 oz," the statement revealed.
The royal child's name remains a mystery, but we all enjoy guessing -- almost as much as making up comical names that would be terrible choices.
Prince Harry shared an earnest reaction to the birth of his son in a wildly endearing video.
"This has been the most amazing experience I could possibly imagine," Harry gushed.
He raved: "How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension."
"But we are both absolutely thrilled," Harry affirmed. "And so grateful for all the love and support from everyone out there."
"It’s been amazing," he added giddily.
"So," Harry explained. "We just wanted to share this with everybody."
Thomas Markle may never get to meet his royal grandson, but he released a statement about the birth.
"I’m delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well," Thomas announced in a statement on Monday.
"I am proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family," he gushed.
"And," he added. "I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain."
The statement itself was tasteful, but his willingness to speak to the media has torn him and his daughter apart.
We still have yet to see the royal newborn or learn his name.
He is not a prince -- he will inherit the title of Earl by default, though the Queen may choose bestow greater honors upon her great-grandson.
In the mean time, people are engaging in fun speculation about what his name might be.
Might it be shockingly American? Or boringly traditional? Something in between?
Only time -- and Kensington Palace -- will tell.
