As you've likely heard by now, Jenelle Evans has been fired from Teen Mom 2 following a month of endless controversy that's been absolutely bonkers, even by the very lofty standards of Jenelle Evans.
Several sources indicated that Jenelle very much wants her job back, but it looks like MTV is about to send a very clear message that that's never gonna happen.
As we reported earlier this month, Jade Cline has been tapped to replace Jenelle on TM2.
Jade denied the rumors on social media, but that doesn't mean a whole lot.
After all, Briana DeJesus issued similar reports in 2017 -- just days before she was confirmed as the show's newest cast member.
In all likelihood, the Moms are encouraged by their bosses to mislead fans until an official announcement can be arranged.
Now, it looks like Jade's chance to confirm what everybody already knew is finally at hand.
And to add insult to injury, it's going down on the podcast hosted by Jenelle's longtime rival, Kailyn Lowry.
According to a new report from TMZ, Jade is scheduled to appear on Coffee Convos on Saturday, just days before Jenelle's final Teen Mom 2 reunion airs on MTV.
Jade is a 21-year-old single mom (she recently split from baby daddy Sean Austin) who previously appeared on Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant.
Production insiders say a crew has been filming Jade for several weeks in preparation for the possibility that Evans would get the ax.
Young and Pregnant does okay in the ratings department, but TM2 is one of the highest-rated reality shows on basic cable, so this is basically like Jade getting called up from the minors.
So it's good news for Ms. Cline ... and yet another devastating blow for Jenelle.
In case you haven't been keeping up, Evans has essentially lost everything over the course of the past month.
After David shot and killed the family dog, the ensuing investigation led to Jenelle losing custody of all of the children who were still living in her home.
(She had already lost custody of her eldest son, Jace, who has lived with his grandmother since infancy.)
Sources close to the investigation say Jenelle could easily regain custody by simply parting ways with David, but astonishingly, she refuses to do so.
So yeah, it was definitely the right call for MTV to part ways with Evans.
A compelling trainwreck might draw viewers, but a mom whose disregard for her children's well-being borders on pure evil is likely to prompt a boycott.
