It's hard to believe it's been almost five years since Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got married in a star-studded ceremony in Florence, Italy.
It was a different time in many ways -- Obama was in office; Meghan Markle as an actress on a basic cable legal drama; and Kanye's insanity was limited to award show outbursts, and hadn't yet driven him into deplorable territory.
And Kanye's conversion to MAGA chud isn't the only major development in the Kardashian-West clan in the past half-decade.
Kim marked the occasion by posting the photo above, and in the joyous caption, she briefly chronicled the expansion of the family she's created with Kanye:
“5 years and 4 kids,” she wrote. “Life couldn’t be better!"
Eldest daughter North was born before the wedding, but that doesn't change the fact that Kim, Kanye, and their surrogates have been very busy in recent years.
Obviously, Kim has a lot to be elated about these days, not the least of which is the fact that she and Kanye just welcomed their fourth child -- whose name is tentatively being reported as Bear West.
(Kim and Kanye have yet to confirm reports of the boy's name, but they do favor quirky monikers, and their silence on the issue speaks volumes.)
Despite her silence on the tyke's name, Kim has been effusive in her praise of her little cub.
She announced the birth last Friday, tweeting, “He’s here and he’s perfect!”
“He’s also Chicago’s twin lol,” she added.
“I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.”
Sources close to the couple say there's no denying that Kim and Kanye have experienced some rough patches over the years.
But they also claim the Wests have put those days behind them and are more optimistic than ever about their future together.
Insiders tell People magazine after years of trial and error, Kim and Kanye “have really found a way” to work as a team, with “everything falling into place for them.”
Part of the solution, it seems, has been working out a more equitable division of labor with regard to raising the couple's four kids.
Where once Kanye spent more time on the tour or in the studio as he did at home with his family, now he's the ultimate hands-on dad:
“When Kim is working out, Kanye is with the kids and vice versa,” the source says.
“[Kanye is] very close with North in particular," the insider adds.
"And whenever he isn’t traveling or in the studio, he likes to do school drop-offs.”
Imagine being a parent doing school drop-offs alongside Kanye.
Sure, you're both wearing sweatpants, but his literally cost more than your car.
Anyway, congrats to Kim and Kanye on the milestone -- and here's to many, many more.
