What's in a name?
This question was posed many years ago by William Shakespeare in the popular story of Romeo and Juliet.
But it now also seems relevant for a couple of modern-day star-crossed lovers, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle debate and discuss various names for various reasons.
There is, of course, the question of just what Harry and Meghan will name their impending child.
We're in the home pregnancy stretch now for the Duchess of Sussex, as she's due some time in the next month or so.
Will she deliver a boy or a girl? We can't say for certain. Or at all right now.
Will she go with one of the recently rumored Royal Baby names that have been floating around the Internet? Again: it is to be determined.
In sort of related news, however, there's also been a certain nickname for Markle making the Internet rounds that allegedly has Prince Harry all in a very handsome tizzy.
According to The Daily Mail, Kensington Palace employees have taken to calling the Duchess "Me-Gain," which is both hilarious and we guess appropriate based on several months' worth of chatter.
As loyal celebrity gossip followers likely know well, Markle has earned a reputation for being very spoiled and selfish.
This same Daily Mail piece claims that the pregnant beauty has been especially "difficult" lately, even going so far as to "freeze out" a few of of Harry's best and oldest friends, such as Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip.
The coverage of Meghan has seemed very harsh for a very long time now, as noted by none other than George Clooney...
... and a Royal Insider says Harry has grown mighty sick, tired and angry about it all.
Most notably this silly and mean new nickname.
Former palace press secretary Dickie Arbiter spoke to Nine News Australia about what all the supposed happenings Kensington Palace and how hard the British press is being on Markle, telling this outlet this week of Harry:
“[He] will be angry, he will be upset, he will want to keep his head down and he will want to protect Meghan."
Granted, negative stories are what generate clicks and sell tabloids, but when it comes to this Me-Gain nonsense?
"He would be angry that something like this is coming out. You have got to remember too...I mean, you were here for the wedding and you saw how the media were operating.
"They were putting Meghan and Harry right up on a pedestal. Since the end of summer in the autumn, they have been chipping away at those pedestals and really having a go."
Isn't this how it so often is with celebrities?
We build them up... only to knock them down. So sad.
Markle is officially on maternity leave, so she won't be making any public appearances again until after she gives birth.
Then, within hours, the press will demand she get all dolled up and pose with a huge smile on her face outside of the hospital while she holds her newborn, just as they did with Kate Middleton.
The whole is pretty crazy, isn't it?
We sure hope Harry is worth this chaotic and, often times, unfair lifestyle, Meghan.
