It's been a difficult month for Paris Jackson.
The debut of Leaving Neverland -- a scathing documentary about Michael Jackson's alleged sex crimes -- has reportedly taken a considerable toll on Paris' mental health.
At first, the 20-year-old aspiring singer laughed off the allegations against her father -- a response that many deemed appallingly insensitive.
Sources say Paris still does not believe her father's accusers, and she still has not watched Neverland.
She has, however, begun the long process of coming to terms with the controversial nature of her father's legacy.
Last week, fans were shocked by reports that Paris attempted suicide and had been re-admitted to rehab.
Jackson has a history of self-harm, and she previously checked into rehab for unspecified "emotional issues" back in January of 2019.
At the time it was widely reported that Paris' distress was a result of the impending release of Neverland.
So when she began to demonstrate erratic behavior in recent weeks, fans feared the worst.
Just last week, Paris was spotted drinking heavily and fighting with her boyfriend during a wild night out in New Orleans.
The photographs from that night would have been upsetting under circumstances, but they were particularly distressing given that Paris is a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and had been reportedly been deeply upset in the days since Neverland was released.
Few of us can imagine what it would be like to have a deceased loved one accused of such horrific crimes.
And no doubt, Paris will grapple with the allegations against her father for the rest of her life.
But fans can breathe a sigh of relief today, as TMZ reports that Paris' condition has stabilized, and she's on the road to recovery at the moment.
The site confirms that Paris did slash her wrists prior to being admitted to an LA hospital last week.
And while she told doctors that she would seek treatment at a different hospital, she failed to do so.
Despite those troubling signs, however, TMZ claims that Paris is "eating better, exercising and working on psychological issues."
Paris turns 21 next week, and insiders say she's been devoting most of her attention to planning her star-studded birthday party.
Jackson family friends have been assisting in coordinating the bash, including longtime associate Macaulay Culkin.
Sounds like things are turning around for Paris.
We wish her all the best in her continued recovery.
