Javi Marroquin & Lauren Comeau Reveal Frightening Delivery Room Drama!

It's been five days since Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau welcomed their first child together.

Fortunately, the couple has spent most of that time focusing on their new arrival, rather than interacting with fans and the media.

But in true Teen Mom fashion, the couple is now sharing every detail of life with their little bundle of joy.

(And, of course, they're being handsomely compensated for doing so, but that's a conversation for another time.)

We now know that Javi and Lauren's baby boy is named Eli, and the couple has shared a couple adorable pics of the new addition.

The New Parents

Needless to say, these days, Javi and Lauren are all smiles.

But it seems Eli's arrival was preceded by some truly frightening moments.

In a newly-published interview with Radar Online, Javi and Lauren opened up about the Comeau's very difficult delivery:

“I was induced at 37 weeks and four days,” Lauren told the site.

“I had mild preeclampsia. My blood pressure was high. There was protein in my urine. They wanted to get me in there and get the baby out before it got worse.”

Apparently, Lauren went into the situation unaware that her baby would be arriving three weeks ahead of schedule:

“My doctor mentioned nothing about being induced,” Comeau explained.

“Then we were driving down to Atlantic City on Friday.

"A woman called to talk about my induction. I was like my what? When is that happening? I was sobbing! It was scary," she added.

"We think we have three more weeks and then they’re like, it’s five days. I had to get my whole family here. It was overwhelming.”

And Lauren says things did not get any easier from there:

“They put me on an IV med cause I was nauseous and puking,” she said.

“It knocked me out. The next morning I was 5 cm dilated. We tried to push through the contractions," she added.

"I did for about three hours. It was miserable. I got an epidural. The next 2-3 hours were enjoyable, but then the hour of pushing was really stressful.”

Needless to say, she found the experience rather painful:

“The actual pushing was 30 minutes," Lauren says.

"My epidural had worn off by then because they wean you off so you can feel your contractions and know when to push. It was pretty painful."

Sounds like quite a harrowing experience for Lauren.

Of course, like most new dads, Javi just gets to focus on the rewards:

“I forgot what it was like to have a newborn,” Marroquin said.

“Sleepless nights, I’m used to that! It’s nice having another boy in the house.”

Yes, both mom and son are home, happy, and healthy.

Our sincerest congrats go out to both Javi and Lauren.
