Could Rob & Chyna be the most surprising ratings success of the year?

The new Keeping Up with the Kardashians spin-off debuted on Sunday, September 11 and the ratings were higher than all but one episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 12.

Turns out, people really are intrigued by Rob & Chyna.

Just over 2 million viewers tuned in for the series premiere of the reality series.

Among adults 18-49, the show achieved a solid 1.1 rating.

This put it in second place in the cable ratings for the night.

Only Fear the Walking Dead pulled in higher ratings.

That said, Rob & Chyna emerged as the highest rated show of the night in adults 18-34.

With Keeping Up with the Kardashians dying away, there was a chance that this new spin-off would be left at the starting gate.

Now, it's clear that viewers want to see more of Rob & Chyna.

They're the reality TV couple we want to see on Sunday nights!

Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been in a ratings crisis recently, with a recent episode slumping to just 0.9 million viewers.

There could be some tune out for Rob & Chyna.

A lot of people were no doubt pretty curious to see just how the two of them carry their own show.

Granted, there were some boring parts, but the trailer released after the episode revealed that there's a lot of stuff about to go down.

One of the upcoming scenes made it look like Chyna was unsure whether Kardashian is the father to her unborn child

TMZ revealed that this is a ploy to get viewers to keep on tuning in.

Crazy editing tactics are used on shows like this more often than not.

It sort of guarantees viewers will be waiting eagerly for the next episode.

All things considered, Rob & Chyna is a hit for E! and it will probably be around for quite some time.

That's if both stars agree to continue with the series.

If the two of them can keep the drama coming, viewers will probably stick with the show.

There were reports that Rob was ditching filming for days at a time, but will the ratings change his stance on the show?

Maybe E! will start offering cash bonuses for him showing up.

Kris Jenner will probably be furious that this new show might actually take over the original series.

She's probably already calling for it to be canceled.

What did you think of the premiere?

Are you glad it performed better than Keeping Up with the Kardashians?
