Move over, Starbucks.
Target would like to get in on the controversial Christmas trend for a few minutes, okay?
With many still aghast over those Jesus Christ-hating red cups currently on sale at Starbucks, critics are also now turning their attention to Target as a result of a certain Christmas sweater currently occupying store shelves.
It retails for $22.40, it’s red, green and white… and it reads as follows:
OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder.
Sort of funny? Especially considering the Starbucks controversy and how some folks really do get worked up over this holiday?
Not according to those who believe this piece of apparell belittles a serious mental disorder.
"Hey @Target this sweater isn’t cute or funny. OCD is a serious mental illness that shouldn’t be mocked," writes one Twitter user, while another has responded to the item with:
"Today at Target I saw a sweater that said "OCD Obsessive Christmas Disorder"…why is trivializing a mental disorder so widely accepted?"
No response yet from Target and no word on whether or not the store will stop selling this scandalous sweater.
Do you think you should? Or you also offended by the OCD mockery?
Or do you find this too much ado over what amounts to nothing in the end?
