To say it was a difficult summer for the Duggar family would be a colossal understatement.
But despite the fact that disturbing reports about Josh Duggar’s sexually deviant behavior are still emerging on a regular basis, insiders say his most high-profile siblings are weathering the storm admirably.
Take Jessa Duggar, for example.
Jessa is just weeks away from giving birth to her first child, and she’s recently become embroiled in a mini-scandal of her own (Fans are upset that Jessa and Ben have been asking for "donations" online, rather than seeking out stable employment.)
But even so, Jessa continues to engage with Duggar aficionados – just this morning, Jessa posted video of her baby bump to the delight of her social media followers – and she’s reportedly eager to return to the spotlight.
"Some people may have thought Jessa was wounded by the negative headlines, so it’s exciting to be able to show people that she is happier than ever and holding her head high," an insider tells People magazine.
"Jessa is truly feeling so happy, healthy and centered. This is really one of the best times of her life," says the source. "Her love for Ben is really something to see. They adore each other, and it’s clear that they’re soul mates. He treats her like a true queen."
Yesterday, it was revealed that Jessa’s home birth will be featured in one of the upcoming TLC specials centered around her and her sister Jill.
The insider says the newly-married siblings are thrilled with the opportunity to update fans on their lives post-scandal:
"If there is any silver lining to the scandals, it’s that it only reinforced the strength Jessa has in her marriage, her family and, most of all, her faith," the source says.
