Pour some sugar on me? Only if I ask you to, thank you very much!
In one of the stranger incidents you’ll see this year, Adam Levine was politely signing autographs for fans outside of the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio in West Hollywood yesterday when someone hurled powdered sugar on the singer.
Seriously. That actually happened:
Yes, Maroon 5 has a track out titled "Sugar." But still. Someone has clearly misinterpreted the message of that song.
The above footage depicts police apprehending the suspect while Levine steps back and brushes the mess off his jacket and face.
"What just happened?" one girl is heard saying in the video, while another screams, "F-cking murder him!"
Levine, meanwhile, steps away from the scene and mostly keeps his cool, though he’s clearly pissed.
The footage later shows The Voice panelist strolling around in a white T-shirt with powdered sugar still across his face.
Similar effed up actions have befallen Kim Kardashian over the years.
In 2012, someone tossed flour on her at a fragrance launch, while activists ambushed Kardashian at a book signing just this week.
Both those situations stemmed from folks protesting Kim’s love of fur.
