Former Saved By the Bell star Elizabeth Berkley posted an epic throwback pic from the iconic show, while joking about a movie iconic in a different sense.
Check out the image she shared, and the caption she added:
"Perhaps this was the moment that pushed it over the edge and led me to do #showgirls?! #life #oy #whatareyougonnado #gottalaugh cc: my love @tathiessen."
The amazing throwback pic showed Jessie Spano (Berkley) with high school cohorts Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies), and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen).
Prepping for cheerleading competition, the trio donned ankle-length maroon and white Bayside skirts and tops, with white sneakers and socks to boot!
Straight outta 1992. And a far, far cry from Showgirls.
Two years after saying goodbye to the Saved By the Bell cast, the actress traded in her scrunchies, mom jeans and modest cheering gear for ... jack.
Her turn as a Vegas stripper in Showgirls, the 1995 film rated NC-17, may be the most universally panned performance, and film, in modern times.
She can laugh about it nowadays, though. Fortunately.
During the epic Saved by the Bell reunion on The Tonight Show, Mark-Paul Gosselaar cracked a Showgirls joke of his own, which Elizabeth appreciated.
Berkley's remained great friends with her co-stars, too.
"Life can have ups and downs, but I love that this childhood memory made you guys smile — grateful for everyone's support and joy," she wrote.
"No matter how much time goes by, this connection is lasting ... you can't #fake magic. It's the best feeling to connect on something meant for nothing but FUN."
