For whatever reason, violence seems to follow Chris Brown wherever he goes, and the trend continued last night at a concert in San Jose, California.
Five people were shot during Brown's performance, and the video below shows the singer's reaction to a scuffle that quickly escalated:
The clip begins with Brown's gleeful announcement of what appears to be a fist fight. Just seconds later, however, gun shots ring out and Brown is rushed from the stage for his protection.
Early reports indicate that all five victims survived and sustained only minor injuries.
We clearly see that Brown was not directly involved in the incident, but the amount of violence that's surrounded him in recent months remains disturbing nonetheless.
Brown was present when Suge Knight was shot back in August, and it's been suggested that the shooting was an actually attempt on Brown's life.
Less than a month later, an audience member was stabbed at Brown's concert in Hollywood.
The frequency of such incidents caused an LA police officer to remark to TMZ recently that wherever Brown goes "someone ends up bleeding."
Brown is still on probation stemming from his 2009 assault on Rihanna. He was imprisoned for three months in March after being kicked out of a rehab program.
Many in Brown's inner circle are reportedly concerned that if the pattern of violence continues, the troubled R&B star may wind up back behind bars or worse.
