Tim Tebow on Jana Duggar: I've Never Even Met Her!

Perhaps we should've known it was too good to be true.

Last week, reports that Tim Tebow is "courting" Jana Duggar made the rounds online. It all started when Jana's dad, Jim Bob, posted photos of himself with Tim's mom at a charity event.

The rumor spread like wildfire, and sources emerged claiming that Tim and Jana are officially dating and discussing marriage plans.

Fans were excited for the first Duggar celebrity wedding. Jana advocates were glad to know that the most put-upon Duggar would finally be breaking free from her family.

Sadly, those hopes were crushed today by a statement from Tebow's publicist:

"Tim and Jana Duggar have never even met," said a rep for Tebow. He added that the former NFL quarterback is not currently searching for a wife.

Well, you certainly can't blame fans for speculating. As a devout fundamentalist Christian who claims to be "saving himself" for marriage, Tebow is one of very few celebrities capable of meeting the Duggars' strict moral standards.

As the eldest Duggar girl, Jana has seen two of her younger sisters get married in the past year, and a courtship with Tebow would've provided the fairy tale ending to her single life that many viewers feel she deserves.
