As more and more women come forward to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault, the comedy legend’s family remains unwavering in their conviction that the whole scandal is nothing but a widespread smear campaign.

Camille Cosby defended her husband in a statement in which she assured fans “he is the man you thought you knew.”

Now, Cosby’s 38-year-old daughter Evin has taken to Facebook to defend her father and cast doubt on the claims of his accusers:

“Rape is a very serious accusation and it is supposed to be taken very seriously,” Evin wrote. “But so is falsely accusing someone.”

“When someone rapes a person they go to prison. That should also happen to the person that has wrongfully accused an innocent victim.”

Yes, in Evin Cosby’s ideal justice system, if you accuse someone of rape and they’re found innocent, you go to jail! Because why not make it more terrifying for sexual assault victims to file charges?

Later the same day, Evin attacked Beverly Johnson, openly accusing the former model of lying, and pointing out what she considered to be holes in Johnson’s story.

Evin’s impassioned defense raises the issue of her father’s fraught relationship with his children.

The New York Post recently reported that Cosby offered a tabloid a story about his daughter’s drug addiction in exchange for editors burying a report about his sexual misconduct.

That daughter – Erinn Cosby – later accused Mike Tyson of sexual assault. Her father responded by ordering both Evin and Tyson to seek treatment.
