Michael Waltrip was finally pink slipped from the competition.

"It was a chance to do something that was more emotional than it was physical, to get to experience the wonderful cast, to get to know Emma’s heart," Waltrip said.

"I’m happy I got to be here and sad I have to go."

"I’m so emotional," added his partner Emma Slater. "He’s made me a better person. You meet these people and he has a big heart. I’ll be a better person for the rest of my life."

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson: Carlton’s alter-ego zipped and performed a near-perfect cha-cha as Batman to partner Carson’s Robin. Score: 38.

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas: As Adam and Eve, the pair did a contemporary bit that showed off Ballas’ skills as a choreographer. Score: 38.

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough: Lucy and Ricky kept the salsa rocking in the Ricardo kitchen, showing us why they’re a force on any week. Score: 37.

Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev: As Bonnie, she and her Clyde were both pretty strong in a jazz dance that impressed the panel. Score: 32.

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd: The original stoner played Johnny Cash in a paso doble that showed us he may be next out the door. Score: 26.

Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater: The racecar driver tried to channel Tarzan, but his foxtrot left a lot to be desired on Dynamic Duos week. Score: 25.

Ribeiro and Carson vs. Thompson and Chmerkovskiy (Dance Off): Lea was game but just couldn’t outstep Ribeiro in the jive. Win: Ribeiro and Carson.

Robertson and Ballas vs. Mota and Hough (Dance Off): The YouTube star and Derek squeaked out a better cha-cha, but just barely. Win: Mota and Hough.

Chong and Murgatroyd vs. Waltrip and Slater (Dance Off): Chong was at least endearing and charming, while Michael was … Michael. Win: Chong and Murgatroyd.
