Bravo may have just blindsided Porsha Williams by reducing her to “friend” status on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7, but that’s only how she sees it.

From the network’s point of view, executives and producers had long been fed up with her behavior before finally growing tired enough of it to demote her.

As it turns out, Porsha’s demotion became public knowledge after The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 trailer‘s release this week for a reason.

She was going to be a series regular, but got knocked down a peg after filming had begun, after producers once again got fed up with her antics.

Even her monumental fight with Kenya Moore wasn’t enough to get Porsha fired, but her actions once the new season began filming were her undoing.

Bravo tried to get Williams and Moore to talk things out, but Porsha nearly fought Kenya again … and went after new cast member Claudia Jordan.

Apparently Jordan has some kind of connection to Williams’ ex-husband Kordell Stewart, and that doesn’t sit well with Porsha. Very little does.

This was the last straw, but it wasn’t the only one. Porsha’s diva antics and lack of transparency were also a factor, even when she wasn’t fighting.

Her temper issues had become a serious problem, to make a long story short. But Williams also kept the show at arm’s length, frustrating producers.

She balked at revealing certain details of her personal life, effectively leaving Bravo shot-callers with little story to tell, and doing herself in as a result.

Porsha confirms she’s done as a housewife, but it is what it is, because for her, “portraying anything else, would not be genuine nor honest.”

We have no idea what that means either, but she says she’s happy to still have some role on the reality show, while she also focuses on other interests.

Interestingly, Demetria McKinney is also recurring as a “friend” on the show, just like Porsha, but was initially slated for regular housewife status.

Claudia Jordan did so well in her debut, however, that she joined the cast along with NeNe, Kandi, Phaedra, Cynthia and Kenya for Season 7.
