Last week, several tabloids claimed that Jenny McCarthy had banned Melissa McCarthy from her upcoming wedding due to a longstanding feud between the cousins.

The rumor prompted Jenny to sit down with People magazine and clear the air. She says she and Melissa aren’t feuding. She claims she never told Melissa she needs to lose weight if she wants to make it as an actress. Then she admits that Melissa isn’t invited to her wedding.

“There is this crazy story going around that I once told my cousin Melissa that she would have to to lose weight in order to get into show business,” says McCarthy. “Nothing could be further from the truth.”

“When she was starting off, I was fortunate enough to be able to get her a job, on a show that I was doing,” Jenny added. “She has accomplished everything she has ever accomplished through hard work and her extraordinary talent.”

“They also say that I’ve ‘banned’ Melissa from my wedding, which is also ridiculous,” she says. “Donnie and I are planning a very intimate ceremony…not a huge production with hundreds of friends and extended family members.”

Seems a bit like Jenny’s talking out of both sides of her mouth, don’t you think? I got her her first job on TV, but she accomplished everything on her own. We’re totally BFFs but she’s not invited to my wedding.

Jenny just got fired from The View and Donnie Wahlberg may have a show on CBS, but he’s no Marky Mark. These two can use all the media attention they can get at this point in their careers, and the wedding will probably be televised on the Wahlberg family’s A&E reality show.

One would think that Jenny and Donnie wouldn’t be snubbing any famous relatives unless they had good reason to.
