Kanye West recently compared himself to a slave.

But the rapper gave an interview over the weekend to SaturdayNightOnline and actually said something even more ridiculous/controversial/pompous when talking about the danger he faces every night on stage.

Kanye believes he is just like a cop or a solider when performing in front of fans because… well… we’re not entirely certain why.

Kanye West: I'm Akin to a Cop!

“I’m just giving of my body on stage… I’m putting my life at risk," Kanye said of his "Yeezus" tour. "This is like being a police officer or war or something."

During a deposition last month, Tom Cruise sort of paralleled acting to fighting in Afghanistan, remarks that led to Mark Wahlberg blasting any celebrity who dares to make such a comparison.

We wonder if he’ll now have words for ‘Ye.

“You’re literally going out to do your job every day knowing that something could happen to you… verbally, from the press bashing you, something could happen to you from people not liking you anymore," West explained. "You could actually slip on that stage.”

Ah, there we go.

Rapping at a concert is just like going to war because you could slip at any time. Makes perfect sense now.

Kanye may wish to cancel all interviews and spend some quiet time at home with Kim Kardashian and North West over the next views days. We’re guessing his mansion won’t feel much like a bunker.
