To Lily Allen, calling a lady a bitch is doesn’t mean she’s hating. She’s just calling it like it is – and feels that many popular figures in today’s word qualify.

"Dolly Parton is a bitch. Adele’s a bitch. Angela Merkel is a bitch. Rihanna’s an inspiring bitch, Miley [Cyrus] is a bitch, rising. She’s my hero," she tells The Guardian.

Conversely, she added,  "Kate Middleton is not a bitch."

The "mouthy" mother of two explained that she’s never been one to stay quiet, despite being told to do just that by music executives early in her career.

"I’ve always been called ‘mouthy,’" she says. "When, in fact, I’m just talking."

"In the music industry, women have always been controlled by male execs, told to do the Kate Moss thing. Keep your mouth shut, or people will laugh at you."

"They’ve been talking about us like this for years, basically."

Allen also criticized pop music’s message lately, saying, "Nobody says anything real today. Most of these girls have their songs written by other people."

She added, "It annoys me, because ‘eh oh eh oh ahh’ is not a chorus … that’s not a point where I feel we’re connecting, you know? I need a narrative."

The Lily Allen "Hard Out Here" music video certainly has that.

In her much-discussed new effort, Allen is shown getting liposuction, gyrating with Twerking dancers and making fun of double standards women face.

Check it out below, it’s good for laughs and commentary:
