Clerk Thwarts Robber, Pushes Gun Back in His Face, Tells Him to Put Out Cigarette

Jon Lewis Alexander is not a man you want to mess with.

The Marionville, Mo., liquor store clerk was working his shift on Sunday night when a would-be robber walked in smoking a cigarette, according to WUSA.

Alexander told him to please put the cigarette out. The man, in turn, told him to hand over the cash in the register, then went to pull a gun on the clerk.

And then this happened ...

Alexander used his left hand to push the robber's handgun back at him, while simultaneously pulling out his own pistol and aiming at the robber's face.

The man then walked out without causing any trouble. He is still at large. Store owner Jeannine Dawson says Alexander is allowed to carry a gun at work.

"I don’t know what I would say if someone else asked me if they could carry a gun,” Dawson told the The Kansas City Star. “Jon’s the exception.”
