More bad news today for Justin Bieber.
On the heels of being named the most unfavorable singer in the country, Bieber has been told he must shell out a few thousand dollars if he ever wants to see his pet monkey again.
In March, German custom officials in Munich quarantined the animal because it was illegal to bring him into the country. He's been residing in a local shelter for the past two months.
A spokeswoman now says Justin is responsible for the cost of care, food and vet visits for Mally. He has until midnight today to claim the capuchin.
According to the shelter, Bieber's management company has requested that the 20-week-old pet be placed in a zoo, but authorities have not yet received the proper paperwork to make this happen.
It's a complicated situation and we hope it all works out for Mally.
Bieber, meanwhile, may be preoccupied with other issues on his agenda, such as the strong likelihood that he will be prosecuted for battery.
