Chris Brown and Justin Bieber have some things in common in the media scrutiny they must endure and the art that they create, the former says.

While doing a radio interview for Power 105.1’s “Breakfast Club” Tuesday, Chris likened his treatment in the media and the Biebs’ recent struggles.

Asked how he deals with paparazzi, media and relentless celebrity gossip attention, Chris said, “It’s sorta like what Justin Bieber’s going through right now.”

Sorta like that how?

“With him, it’s just a case of how I feel. Being young, having a limitless amount of income, whatever you wanna do as a young guy,” Brown mused.

“At the same time,” Chris said of his one-time collaborator, “You don’t have nobody that’s gonna say, ‘Hey, bro, chill, you look wack right now.'”

“For me, I had the people that said it and it got through eventually.”

Let’s hope that’s actually true for Chris … and will be for Justin.

Brown did take issue with Bieber’s friend Lil Twist – but not for being a bad influence. He said the media may look to demonize Twist because of race.

“I feel like the mainstream media … I just feel like they’re gonna target the little black boys around him and say, ‘Hey, so this is why he’s doing it.'”

The 23-year-old R&B star adds that he’s glad he doesn’t hang around JB too much because they blame would have been put on him in similar fashion.

We see Chris’ point, but to be fair, Lil Twist wasn’t there when Justin threatened to beat the f–k out of a photographer, or got banned from that club.

Or took his shirt off in public for no reason, and so on. Whatever’s going on with Justin, it’s deep-rooted and not limited to a single Twist of bad judgment.

Regardless, Brown feels for JB’s situation: “I pray for him, I pray for myself. We both go through it because we’re great artists and he’s a big artist to his fans.”
