Kate Upton getting kissed by golf legend Arnold Palmer?
One of the top photos of the week, for sure. The King’s still got it at 83, no doubt. But how did it come to pass? What’s his connection to the SI model?
Kate Upton was visiting Palmer at his PGA tournament in Florida’s Bay Hill this week. The reason she went can be traced to her manager, Lisa Benson.
Lisa’s father is from Punxsutawney, Pa., and used to play golf with Palmer, and when she was looking for a job at IMG, Arnie helped get her an interview.
She got the job at the sports management agency – which represents models as well as athletes – and years later, connected with the lovely Upton.
Kate’s parents, meanwhile, live in Melbourne, Fla., near the King, and were/are huge Palmer fans, so she thought it would be a great idea to stop by.
So basically, when you’re Arnold Palmer, supermodels young enough to be your grandkids stop by to see you. That’s when you know you’ve made it!
