Leave it to Zooey Deschanel to stun onlookers in a red Oscar de la Renta dress at the 2013 Golden Globes … while also rocking a cute movie-themed manicure.
That’s the New Girl star for you!
Zooey’s 2012 Golden Globes nails – little tuxedos – won raves, so she delivered a sequel with a filmstrip theme at Sunday night’s awards extravaganza.
Technician Tom Bachik created the design – “serial nails,” as Deschanel called them – using a neutral base polish plus white, black and gold hues.

It’s no Katharine McPhee dress, but it was one of the night’s fashion highlights.
Even without the custom nails, she would have turned heads in that thing, but Deschanel has become known for her nail art over the past 12 months.
“I love nail art,” she said, noting that it’s not just a red carpet thing. “Usually, it might be inspired by something, but it might be just be, ‘Oh, that seems cool.’”
