He’s among the leading candidates to be sent home tonight, but American Idol finalist Paul McDonald has other concerns to consider before this evening’s results show.
Following his cover of Ryan Adams’ “Come Pick Me Up” last night, the aspiring singer was faced with a number of angry Tweets from viewers who took issue with the Marine Corps Dress Blues jacket he donned on stage.
In response to this fervor, McDonald has Tweeted:
“Just to let everyone know I have nothing but respect for our men and women in the armed forces. Tons of respect for you guys… I’ve been told my jacket on the show upset some folks … I wasn’t trying to offend anyone. Sorry! I’ve got nothing but love for you guys!”
