Before we get down and dirty with the latest scoop on what absurd outfit Britney Spears wore and what 10 guys Lindsay Lohan banged last night, we like to start off the day with a little celebrity gossip involving lesser-known stars.
And we use that term loosely.
Earlier this week, we brought you surprise marriage news about Neve Campbell and Brittany Murphy, who got hitched to virtual unknowns John Light and Simon Monjack, respectively.
Today, it’s baby news. Australian actress Jacinda Barrett, and her husband, actor Gabriel Macht, are expecting a baby later this year, their representatives have confirmed to People magazine.
This will be the first child for the couple, who have been married since 2004.
Americans first met former model Barrett, 34, on the fourth season of MTV’s The Real World, set in London. She got her big break with the 2003 screen adaptation of novelist Philip Roth’s The Human Stain, alongside Nicole Kidman, Anthony Hopkins and Wentworth Miller.
She most recently starred alongside Zach Braff in The Last Kiss.
Barrett is also notable for looking more than a little like Zach Braff‘s real-life ex, Mandy Moore. Although she’s a bit older.
Gabriel Macht, a New York native who grew up in Los Angeles, most recently appeared in The Good Shepherd and Because I Said So.
