On this scariest of holidays, Willow Smith turns 12 years old. The daughter of a world famous actor and moderately famous actress, Willow broke on to the scene in 2010 by whipping her hair all around.

She's since released a couple more tracks and is rumored to be reprising Annie in a big screen remake of that classic.

Among other famous people turning a year older today: Piper Perabo (36), Vanilla Ice (45), Dermot Mulroney (49) and Christopher Columbus (Posthumous).

Willow Smith is back with a new music video.

The 11-year old debuted "I Am Me" at last night's BET Awards, an event that handed out hardware to Jay-Z, Beyonce and Chris Brown, among others.

Willow attended the ceremony with brother Jaden and did not win any trophies, but did she make an impression with the following track, which centers on her search for identity and her rally against critics. Lyrics include:

Express myself cause it’s my liberty/I’ve been lookin’ /Your validation is just not that important to me.

Willow Smith has left her hair alone, but still changed up her look once again.

The young daughter of Will and Jada has changed her locks back to their original color - after going green and then pink - but also taken yet another extreme step in her ever-changing appearance.

She has pierced her tongue:

In the state of California a child needs the approval of his/her parents to make such a move. So either Will and Jada or on board or Willow has gone rogue.

Willow Smith has taken a break from coloring her hair to release a new music video. Sort of.

It's actually an old music video, according to the 11-year old, who Tweeted a link to the following yesterday and wrote: "This video is old but I still love it."

It includes shot of Willow dancing through a variety of well-known cities, including New York and Paris. She dons pants, a studded jacket or two and, yes, she whips her hair a bit. Big brother Jaden Smith even stops by for a cameo!

Willow Smith has changed her hair color once again.

The young, talented offspring of Will and Jada first went bald two months ago; she then dyed what little hair grew back a nice shade of green; and, over the weekend, Willow posed on the red carpet of The Kids Choice Awards with pink locks.

Willow Smith has once again made a change to the hair she formerly whipped.

After shaving her head a month ago, and then dyeing what remained blonde, the 11-year old daughter of Will and Jada has gone in a new direction: green. Check out the photo she posted on Instagram yesterday...

Along with the fresh look, Willow took a stance on Twitter against those who believe she has some kind of special celebrity life, writing:

“I am regular person…. forget that… Nobody has a PICTURE PERFECT life… I am still just a child…”

Earlier this month, the 11-year old daughter of Will and Jada shaved her head, posting a photo of Twitter with the simple caption: Dance your feelings out.

Now, the singer is up to more of the same. She made the following picture live last night, giving us a look at her VERY short, blonde hair and including the message: Nerds rule. What do you think of the look?

Indeed, 11-year old Willow Smith took to her WhoSay account last night and posted a photo of herself, head newly shaven, taken at a ballet class. She included the caption, "Dance your feelings out..."

Why make such a drastic move? Willow's stylist, Rob Zangardi, simply tells Us Weekly: "She is young, edgy, and individual."

So much for whipping her hair all around.
