It hasn't been a great week for love in Hollywood.

Ariana Grande split from Jai Brooks because he wasn't supportive of her. Ramona Singer ended her marriage because her husband Mario was unfaithful.

Joe Jonas stopped giving it to Blanda Eggenschwiler. Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran ... we don't know what is going on there. But it appears to be over.

But at least all of the above take solace in the following: they aren't alone. Far from it, in fact, as a number of high-profile romances have already met their demise in 2014.

We're not taking sides. We're not judging the basis for these break-ups. We're just running down the celebrities who have found themselves single so far this year:

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton separated back in March, inspiring Thicke to pen countless musical tributes in an effort to save his marriage.

Many began to wonder if Thicke and Patton had faked their breakup, as the timing seemed suspiciously well-coordinated with the release of Thicke's latest studio album (titled, of course, Paula).

Now it seems there was nothing fraudulent about Robin's pain after all, as TMZ reports that Thicke has given up his reconciliation efforts and is now waiting for Patton to file for divorce.

Yes, though he's said to have admitted privately that his marriage will soon be over, Thicke refuses to be the one to officially end it.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton broke up back in March, but many fans and industry insiders expressed their suspicions that the couple's marital woes were part of a ploy to promote Robin's new album.

Claims that Robin and Paula faked their separation seemed to be substantiated by Thicke's constant musical pleas to "get her back."

How did he write all these lovelorn songs so fast? Does he expect us to believe that the timing of the split just happened to coincide with the release of his new album?

Well, according to an interview Robin gave New York radio station Hot 97 today, the breakup is real. So real in fact, that he hasn't seen the mother of his child in four months!

Robin Thicke was it again last night.

The turned the 2014 BET Awards into his own version of relationship therapy, dedicating the track "Forever Love" to estranged wife Paula Patton and telling the crowd prior to performing:

"I’d like to dedicate this song to my wife, and say, 'I miss you, and I’m sorry.' This is called Forever Love."

Thicke has pulled this maneuver numerous times since splitting from Patton several months ago.

He tried to get Patton back at the Billboard Music Awards in May and openly pleaded with the actress during various concert stops during his spring tour.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton "broke up," back in February, but now the very public nature of their separation and his attempts to get back in his wife's good graces are raising questions as to whether the whole thing is simply a stunt cooked up by Thicke's PR team.

Earlier this week, Thicke debuted the video for his new single entitled - you guessed it! - "Get Her Back," from the album called simply - you guessed it again! - Paula.

Not only did Thicke's troubled love life help the singer secure a spot in the headlines right in the midst of his post-"Blurred Lines" career slump, he seemed to churn out an album's worth of content devoted to his estranged wife in remarkably quick fashion.

Skeptics are likening the Thicke-Patton separation to Justin Bieber's stolen laptop stunt, which proved to be simply a gimmick designed to help Bieber promote his single "Beauty and a Beat."

Robin Thicke wants to get back together with his estranged wife Paula Patton, and he's making sure the whole world knows it.

First, Thicke named his new album "Paula" (subtle), now he's released a music video that's basically a 4-minute apology for effing things up the first time around.

While Robin bemoans the state of his relationship with blood on his face (?) angry text messages flash across the screen...and, man, do they paint a disturbing picture of Paula and Robin's relationship.

Highlights include: "I kept trying to warn you you were pushing me too far;" "You drink too much;" and "Why why why why why???"

Needless to say, "Blurred Lines" it ain't.

We're sorry for your relationship troubles, Robin, but we'd like to offer some career advice: less depressing divorce drama and more naked Emily Ratajkowski.

Robin Thicke is really pulling out all the stops in his quest to win Paula Patton back. Just when we think there aren't more stops he can pull out, well ...

Not only did he write a new single "Get Her Back" about his estranged wife, he is now reportedly naming his upcoming album Paula in her honor!

The album, which will contain "Get Her Back," is set to drop on July 1.

Since Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced their split in late February, he has embarked on a shameless, public effort to do as his single implies.

Making his intentions known everywhere from celebrity gossip outlets to the 2014 Billboard Music Awards stage and now his album name, he misses her.

Hard.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, a nearly-topless Paula Patton was asked about the status of things with estranged, creeping husband, Robin Thicke.

Specially, the magazine asked if Paula Patton and Robin Thicke, who separated last winter after nearly 10 years of marriage, will continue to live apart.

Her cryptic response: “We’ve known each other since we were teenagers. All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there. Always was, and always will be.”

Hmm.

We can't tell if that's her leaving the door open to take him back or just being polite and saying there's NO shot. Reading between the lines, it could be either.

Doesn't sound like Robin's public displays of love for Paula in concert have won the trick so far, though. The couple remains split up, at least for now.

Robin Thicke - the singer best known for his smooth voice and ability to make models get naked - opened up in a recent interview with People about his recent separation.

Thicke's separation from Paula Patton, his actress wife of nine years, was followed almost immediately by his public efforts to win her back. How's that going?

Of his attempts to win Paula back, he says, "She loved it ... She thought it was the sweetest thing and very romantic, and I've always been a romantic guy that way."

Despite Paula's positive reaction to Robin's displays of affection, he seems resigned to the fact that a reconciliation may not be in the cards.

Asked about his goals for the upcoming year, Thicke said, "Just to be a great father...and be a great friend to Paula."

Talk about blurred lines. We're sure Robin will manage to find the bright side of the single life.

She's made it clear that his actions will speak much louder than any words ... but in song, Robin Thicke is going all in to woo back wife Paula Patton.

The soulful crooner's latest plea was at his Atlantic City, N.J., concert at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Sunday night, when a fan yelled, "I love Paula!"

"I do too," Robin responded before belting out Al Green's quintessential take me back song, "Let's Stay Together," dedicated to Patton. Guy is not giving up ...

Thicke first paid tribute to the actress at his show in D.C., on Thursday.

"I want everybody here to know that I'm trying to get my girl back," he said before singing "Lost Without U," his 2007 hit single he said Patton inspired.

Patton has yet to publicly acknowledge Robin's emotional cry to stay together, however, she is said to be open to reconciliation if he really changes his ways.
