Sofia Vergara Voted Most Desirable Woman in the World
Sofia Vergara may be hard to understand on Modern Family, but the results of a new AskMen.com poll are easy to comprehend: the actress has been voted The Most Desirable Woman of 2012.
Vergara, 40, is the oldest female yet to take home the title, and she follows last year's winner, Blake Lively; the 2010 champion Emmanuelle Chriqui; and Eva Mendes, who occupied the top spot in 2009.
In response to this outcome, the sitcom star sent out a "big thank you to all the men who desire me." She leads a top 10 that includes:
10. Candice Swanepoel
9. Rihanna
8. Kim Kardashian
7. Scarlett Johansson
6. Emma Stone
5. Nicki Minaj
4. Miranda Kerr
3. Rooney Mara
2. Kate Upton

SAG Awards Fashion Face-Off: Tina Fey vs. Sofia Vergara
Both Tina Fey and Sofia Vergara came up short last night in the Best Actress in a Comedy category, losing to Betty White (see our full list of 2012 SAG Awards winners).
Consider this their chance at redemption.
The 30 Rock star is best known for being one of the funniest people on earth, but she's no style slouch, either. Sofia Vergara? She wows us with her dresses almost as much as she causes us to double over with her Modern Family quotes.

Sofia Vergara Posts Bikini Photos Because She Can
Sofia Vergara makes us laugh every week with hilarious Modern Family quotes, but is only slightly less well known for posing pics of herself online.
The 39-year-old actress took a break from promoting her new chic clothing line at Kmart and kicked back for some R&R in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Vergara uploaded this image of her enjoying some fun in the sun. When you look like that, why not flaunt bikini photos of yourself? Exactly.
"Ciao ciao One&Only Palmilla!!! It was amazing! Te quiero Mexico," the voluptuous, native Colombian beauty wrote on her official Whosay account.
The brunette stunner isn't shy when it comes to flaunting her bombshell curves, but follows rules that allow her to show off her assets tastefully.
"In my 20s, I would have on a miniskirt and the boobs," the mom-of-one said. "Now, if I'm doing something short, I try to cover up [on top]."
"I'm almost 40, so I had to evolve - it's natural. I love tight dresses, but I don't do tight and short at the same time. I do tight and long."
Hey ... whatever works. Just keep the photos coming.
Emmy Awards Fashion Face-Off: Sofia Vergara vs. Christina Hendricks
One of them stars on the Emmy Awards' most Outstanding Comedy.
The other stars on the Emmy Awards' most Outstanding Drama.
Both routinely turn heads with their voluptuous figures.
If there's anyone that could give a Christina Hendricks dress a run for its money, it's Modern Family's Sofia Vergara - although both she and the Mad Men star were relatively covered up last night. Relatively. Who was the best dressed? Vote in our poll below!
Sofia Vergara Makes Rape Joke on The View
Colombian-born actress Sofia Vergara gets plenty of laughs as Ed O'Neill's wife on ABC's new hit comedy Modern Family. Yesterday on The View, though?
Well, let's just say rape jokes aren't always knee-slappers.
Trying to make light of her youthful appearance, the 37-year-old Sofia reacted in a puzzling way when the panel was surprised that she has an 18-year-old son.
Sherri Shepherd said, as viewers saw a photo of Sofia and son Manolo: "You're a single mom of a teenage son, who's 18?! You have him when you were 12?'
Sofia Vergara's response: "Thirteen. I was raped."
Crickets.
It takes a lot to silence the women of The View. Kudos, Sofia Vergara.
Barbara Walters in particular looked shocked as Sofia made the remark, and even Whoopi Goldberg, who's rarely fazed, appeared surprised at the comment.
Gasps could also be heard from the studio audience.
Interestingly, Whoopi came under fire last month for saying on The View that Roman Polanski's alleged rape of a 13-year-old in 1977 was not "rape rape."
Check out the clip of Sofia Vergara on The View yesterday. The rape joke takes place around the four-minute mark, and it's as awkward as billed ...
