We have an update on the shocking death of The Ultimate Warrior.

As previously reported, the WWE legend passed away yesterday in Arizona while walking inside a hotel with his wife.

The shocking incident occurred mere days after the Warrior (real name: James Hellwig) was inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame and appeared at both Wrestlemania 30 and Monday Night Raw.

According to TMZ insiders, the 54-year old “clutched his chest” immediately prior to collapsing while strolling toward his car.

He fell to the ground and never recovered.

Autopsy and toxicology tests will be performed this week, but all signs point to a massive heart attack as the cause of the Warrior’s passing.

There is no evidence at the moment to suggest alcohol or drugs played a role in his death.

A number of WWE greats have chimed in since this sad news hit, with Stephanie McMahon Tweeting “#RIPUltimateWarrior Your strength of character is to be admired. There will never be anyone like you. Your spirit lives on in your family,” and Kevin Nash adding:

“So happy I embraced Warrior with a hug when we saw each other backstage Saturday night. My heart goes out to his family.Always Believe.”
